Dez Wells is going to Maryland

You hear that, Andrew and Aaron Harrison?

Maryland just picked up an explosive guard for the 2013-14 season. Dez Wells announced this morning that he’ll transfer to Maryland to play for Mark Turgeon and the Terps.

He thanked Kentucky, Memphis and Oregon for showing interest.

Good luck to you in the ACC, young fella.

I have a friend who goes to Xavier and is really bummed about losing this guy. It is a big loss for X, it is also a big pick up for Maryland

He would have been a Vol had the Jethro Nation walked on the wild side with me.

If he gets the wavier, will be interesting playing him and Maryland on Nov 11th for a warm-up before duke.

If he has to sit until next year, wont that improve our chances with the twins or could this mean Maryland pretty much knows where they stand with them?

Thank you Mark Turgeon, that proves that the Harrison’s are coming to UK. If you have to add a transfer guard for next year, that tells me your accepting the fact that Cal has locked up the twins.

If Wells hurts chances with the twins would Cal have invited him in? Mark Turgeon will play Wells at the 3.

8-word is Cal was only interested in wells if he would get a waiver for this year.

What does a waiver for this year have to do with 2013? Wells wasn’t going to the draft after this year anyway. Cal wasn’t going to kick him off the team next year.

    10. He would have seen significantly less playing time. I think that was the unspoken consensus.

The logic (and grammar) in some of these posts is LOL. Terps have 2 seniors and a walk-on holding a scholly next year, plenty of room for the Twins. And jj is right. We do need some warmup games before Duke in conference.
