Details of Ashely Lowery’s Crash Emerge…

…and they aren’t pretty. According to the Georgia Department of Safety, Ashely Lowery wrecked his car (a 2006 Altima) at 4 am. The vehicle turned over several times and he was thrown 100 feet from the car. Lowery was in the car alone and his was the only car involved in the crash. The junior was not wearing his seat belt.

Buckle up, guys.

Why is everything turned into a joke on this site? Why not pray for ashley instead of making a joke?

That was pretty darn inappropriate as a joke. #4, I could go without a religion/morality lesson today.

Buckling up is usually better, but sometimes, as when your car rolls a ton, it can save your life. Especially in certain vehicles. A cousin of mine was thrown from his jeep while unbuckled in a wreck, and if he’d been belted in, he’d have died.

I used Jesus as an example. I don’t want to hear your agnostic beliefs either, so go fly a kite.

I dunno what’s in worse taste, the unfunny joke or the religious guy and his fairy tales. This site used to be readable.

Wow this site has gone to hell…especially on the weekend. I know this is a free site but I would pay money to read it if they would hire some better writers. Where is Turkey Hunter? Thomas Beisner? etc etc.

And I have a family member that would of been DEAD if he was wearing his seat belt. He was ejected, and the car blew up afterwards. It can go both ways.

Yeah the religious crap is ridiculous, there’s always a guy who wants to turn the comment section into a religious or political debate….

30- I think people are upset because they’re joking about a kid and UK player who nearly died not even 24 hours ago…. I think that’s more than “slightly mean” all they had to say was buckle up guys, why throw a stupid distasteful joke in there?

I overacted with my Jesus anlogy but still thought the comment was to soon. People do need to wear seatbelts but everyone makes mistakes.

Whoever wrote this article needs to be a little more informed before they start spouting off information like “wear your seatbelt.” The doctor that treated Lowery stated that “NOT WEARING HIS SEATBELT PROBABLY SAVED HIS LIFE.” Just keep that in mind when you write something negative like that next time, if he would’ve taken your so called advice he would be DEAD right now. Look at a picture of the wreckage and you’ll see what I’m talking about genius.

I really wish this site would get some writers that actually care about football and its players. If the same accident had happened to a random walk-on of the beloved basketball team I’m sure KSR would be giving updates every 10 minutes and treating it like the most important event of the century instead of a page 6 also-ran like they are.
