Derek Anderson spoke to the team last night

John Calipari has left nothing in the tank when it comes to finding ways to motivate and reach his young team. Last night he asked former Kentucky Wildcat Derek Anderson to speak to his team, not just about basketball– but also about life. Calipari recently read Anderson’s book and read portions of it to the team at the shoot around this afternoon.

Calipari has also apparently had his team read the book “God Never Blinks.” The book contains 50 life lessons. Calipari said that “life lessons is all this team needs right now.”

  3. Thank you, I’ve just been looking for info approximately this subject for a long time and yours is the greatest I’ve found out so far. But, what in regards to the bottom line? Are you certain in regards to the source?|What i don’t realize is in reality how you’re now not really a lot more smartly-favored than you may be now. You are very intelligent.

He was on the gold medal team at the 1993 Olympic Festival. He did not win a gold medal in the Olympic games.

Why have Derek Anderson talk to the CATS about “life lessons?” Loved him at UK but his life has not been one that needs to be taught, much less glorified by Cal. Hope Ray Lewis doesn’t get the next gig. Anyway, GO CATS!

#7…Ever heard walk a mile in a man’s shoes…Derek Anderson had a tough like coming up as do most of these black college athletes…Child at a young age, no father to guide him, etc…He is a self made man and many of these guys today could do well to emulate his accomplishments…
