Denzel Ware has decommited from UK
After reaffirming his verbal commitment to UK a few weeks ago, 2014 4-star defensive end Denzel Ware has decommited from UK. Ware tweeted the following message earlier tonight:
“I wanna thank bbn and every coach at UK but I have decided its best for me to decommit and look at my options my next commitment will be my last.”
Rumor has it that Ware will commit to Florida next. Maybe all of those weird Joker Phillips photoshops actually worked.

It should be a NCAA rule now that once you verbally commit to a school that you sign a LOI on the spot. This commiting and decommitting among football recruits is stupid. How can coaches design their rosters with this goin on? Also it really is a sad n unreliable person that commits then decommits to a program anyway. It really makes me wonder if there isn’t alot of Chizik type stuff going on in college football.

The way to get a kid to stay committed is for every school to get their own recruiter like UofL has (Clint Hurtt)…he can give impermissible benefits to a recruit at another school (Miami) and then have that recruit follow him to another school (UofL) and he is allowed to play and nothing happens. So I think UK needs to get some recruiters at big name schools to give illegal/impermissible benefits to top recruits and then let that coach join the UK staff and let that recruit follow along. It worked pretty well for UofL with Teddy Brigewater.

Could we all sing some “Baby come back”?…but seriously we need players on this level, but we will not get them all. But when is the last time we had a situation were 4, or bless us 5 star kids were even in the conversation? We are moving in the right direction at least.

UK has been here long before any of these kids were even a thought and will be here long after these kids are dead and gone. I really dont understand why players commit to a school then wait weeks, months to decommit if you dont wanna play or think that you wanna play somewhere else dont commit in the first place its stupid have your mind made up yeah its not that big of a deal considering its uk football i love them im a die hard fan id take any recruit we could possibly get but this is just stupid .

Yeah, F joker. That dude is a JOKE. Was the worst excuse for a head coach, wasn’t even funny. Now, he’s helping florida steal ‘committed’ players from UK. In the broad scheme of things, kid means nothing to florida (4* are a dime a dozen there), yet would really help UK. I say we take joker’s name out of the record books – oh yeah, he isn’t in them as a player or coach – HE SUCKED!
He is just a kid who will probably change his mind again.If Joker got the kid to decommit then he is doing his job. There are many more kids in the state of Florida to go after. Don’t waste time on someone who doesn’t want to be at the University of Kentucky. It is the young man’s loss. The commitment thing at this stage is nothing more than a status symbol. The recruiting gurus,the star system, and all of that will not help this young man when he lines up and faces a SEC offensive line.

Ok let me get this straight, we fired Joke Phillips and UK still has to pay him. He now works for UF while still collecting a check from UK and is actively recruiting players to go to UF, is that right? So basically he is stabbing the “university that he loves” in the back!….

Get used to it. Stoops was riding his wave of recruits he was in on bc he coached at FSU. He told you all, and you didn’t listen, that his first recruiting class at UK would be his best bc of this. As of yesterday, Florida has not accepted his commitment. Not sure what’s going on here but he could be left out in the cold.
Calm down. Florida has not given him a “committable” offer. Which means the offer they have extended is conditional. On the long list of players at his position they are after that are ranked higher then him. Which is about 12-15. They won’t “commit” to him until it gets real late in the game. Which gives UK time to either forget about him and get a couple of those higher rated guys, or take him by default on signing day. He’s a player, and if we wind up with him, we’re good. If not, then that just means we got better. We took a bunch of recruits away from some storied schools since we got Stoops (and got rid of Joker), so don’t get too excited either way at this time of year. We have over 40,000 going to the spring game!! Which means we’ll have around 50,000 actually show up!! Stoops landed i’d say 10-15 playmakers in the class coming in. Help is on the way. I’d say several of those will be impact players. So, now all you gotta worry about is checking my grammar!!! (i luv to mess with the nerds)
