DeMarcus Cousins is back in the Bluegrass

demarcus-burnside

Don’t be surprised if you happen to see a 6-foot-11 guy with a captivating smile running around parts of Eastern Kentucky this week. It’s just DeMarcus Cousins; he’s back in the Bluegrass.

Boogie landed in Kentucky yesterday and will be visiting 13 schools over the next three days to speak to students about hard work, sacrifice and bullying. Today, he’s  in Pulaski County and the kids at Burnside Elementary were thrilled to see him make an entrance in the school gymnasium.

Cousins is hardly someone who should be setting himself up as a role model for children.

#5 Cousins is a good kid who has a great heart. Granted he may get caught up in the moment when hes out on the basketball court. I worked at an elementary school for 5 years and I can tell you his presence around the schools will be great for young kids.

Kids just light up! Whenever Demarcus is around. Priceless gift. Just like PPat, Gilchrist, Anthony Davis and Terrance Jones they just love kids and it is mutual.

    Whats #5’s problem?

How can you see a negative out of this?

Cousins is just good for the program.

Agree w/ number 5, however nice effort by the big man. Just needs to work on his demeanor on the court. Still very young

“Hello Mr. President, this is Demarcus Cousins.” Hopefully he told these kids to pay more attention in English class.
