If there is one position that KSR has held consistently through the past year (besides the brilliance of “The Wire” and “The Bachelor”), it is that Demarcus Cousins has been consistently misrepresented nationally. As media and commentators, most of whom have never spoken to the kid, have tried to paint Boogie as a disruptive kid who was likely to cause major problems in the NBA, we have consistently been huge fans of all things Demarcus. From day one, he asked KSR for a nickname and his popularity has soared in the Commonwealth. In fact, in a poll on here last week, more fans said they would be pulling for Cousins’ Kings than any other team which drafted a UK player.
Now at least one individual that used to blast Cousins has turned their opinion around. The quality NBA Blog “FreeDarko” has this piece today on Cousins and how his time in Vegas made the writer a fan. That is what Cousins does….you hear things about him, assume he will be one way and then you meet him. Cousins is my favorite player to interview and one of my favorite to watch and now he has a fan on the FreeDArko site as well. Also make sure and read the comments….one reader compares Cousins to the cartoon Marmaduke…one of the strangest comparisons I have ever seen on an internet site ever…but possibly even a little correct.
