I want to call out any d-bag UK fans who are not supporting the team! How easily your small bumpkin brains forget. 2011-2012 National Champs, 2010-2011 Final 4 Apperance with a 29-9 record. 09-10 Elight Eight!!!??? Gotta love college basketball and fans that spoil the bunch! #BBN

#4 nailed it,we just hung a banner and lost a roster full of nba players. These kids will be fine. Give them
time to develop and grow together. I’m not worried about a 4-3 record against a good schedue like we’ve played.

No reason to be concerned. By late June, Calipari will have two, three or four players NBA ready and – afterall Big Blue Fans – that’s what Cal says it’s all about – so don’t dare question him.

We’re a non-traditional program. It’s not about banners – it’s all about making teenagers millionaires and getting rappers into Rupp Arena.

7 -UCLA and UK are proably the only DIV.I program with only 8 scholarhip players on their roster. Both were highly overranked and overhyped.

#8. Apparently in your old age you have forgotten how to look up while in Rupp, 2 banners in 3 years. Yeah Cal puts a lot of kids in the nba and has turned Kentucky into a nationally recognizable brand. If that is not good enough for you go cheer for Louisville, they keep their players for a long time while and only hang a banner every five or six years and have no one outside of the city limit that give a shit about them- sounds perfect for you.

@8 & 9 Old School, you really need to take your weak attempts to turn BBN against Cal and go crawl back into your Cardinal’s nest. The real BBN is not so weak minded as to have our opinions swayed by an amature such as yourself. You can continue your slobbering love affair with Pitino and Crean elsewhere……..You’re not welcome here. YOU WILL NOT SOUR BBN’s ENTHUSIASM FOR COACH CAL AND ALL THINGS UK!!!! JUST GO AWAY!

@7, but UK hasn’t lost to any Cal Poly type teams and all of our players are still with the team! And don’t pay any attention to Old School, he just likes to bring everyone down. he has no idea what he is talking about

I’m not sure if other UK fans are concerned – but they sure are a bit sensitive this week.

Why? UK is 4-3 (and lucky to be that – if not for the heroics of former walk-on Polson – they’d be 3-4) They are unranked. They are young, inexperienced, lack a proven point guard, seem to lack the work effort of past teams.

Meanwhile their big rivals – Duke, Louisville, Indiana – are excelling. All those programs have proven senior leadership and deeper benches.

    No reason to be concerned.

    18. Because we know next year will be different. I’d rather a down year in every 4 than just one good year in every 4. The thing about Cal’s system is that the previous year weighs very little on the next year’s success, so we have little reason to be concerned. a system of 3-4 star guys ensures that they will be a threat when that one class you brought in becomes seniors, if they got a lot of PT, but you have to wait for them to mature, and the next year you lose a lot of people. IU will lose many players next year, and their next year starters might not have had valuable PT either, so they could end up in UK’s position. UL is the same. This year they are good, because they were patient. Next year they will be calling for Rick’s head again when their talented guys graduate and Rick didn’t recruit much big talent to replace them.

Look at it one of two ways either we grow up and turn into a good team this year or we don’t and more guys than planned have to return next year and we have the greatest college basketball team of all time, and push bobby k a spot down the list for most recent undefeated season, either way I’m fine……IN CAL WE TRUST

Folks, in the circus of KSR comments, one thing remains a constant axiom: let old_fool wallow in his own vomit. The creature is a nattering nabob of negativity and gets his rock salt by jimmying the KSR windows and peeping in. Ignore and don’t feed the animal. He will soon enough swirl clockwise with the flush, devolving back to pre-Big Bang dust.
