Let me preface this by saying I could possibly be incorrect. But…. I really don’t think that’s Rubio. I don’t even think he played.

It’s funny, as a UK fan…I totally saw that coming. Someone was driving, thinking they had an open floater…then Spider-Man swoops in and swats into the seats. Bow to the Brow, Rubio!!

#4, I think you’re right. By then, I think they had most of their scrubs in. Was it Navarro, or whatever his name is? Has a really bad, yet very European receding chin?

That was not Rubio, he is out of the olympics. It was juan carlos navorro or Don Quixote or some other spaniard.

Didn’t realize Franklin posted this one. Clearly he’s just saying that all Spanish guards are Rubio. My bad Drew.

In the Olympics, when AD, aka “Swatalotamous”, swats….there will bad calls of Goal Tending by the Rushkies, et al.

I’d caress his junk – not swat it. That’s the one place AD and I differ.

still can’t tell me their isn’t a role for Davis. He should be on the court when Chandler is out if nothing else just to guard the rim. Even without a NBA body yet he can do that. This team has plenty of offense they don’t need any point from the 5 other then wide open dunks. I think Davis is verry capable of that too.

Rubio tore his ACL and won’t be back until at least next season

COACH K is TOO ARROGANT TO PLAY DAVIS!!!! He will not allow the lone college guy, A UK GUY, to actually be a factor for this team. It would be a HUGE recruiting disadvantage for him if he did, and they can still easily win the gold without any significant Davis contribution. DAVIS >> T. Chandler

Coach K took the ‘weak’ off; the swatting of ‘junk’ by AD made him more nervous than a ‘WHeasel’.

I love Davis but K isn’t keeping him out for going to UK but because the other guys have more experience against the players in the game. Chandler against Gaslo is what I would do over Davis too. AD is going to struggling against the bigger guys. This team is about winning and if LeBron thought Davis would give them a bigger edge in these games they’d be calling for him.

He could have scored a few times too if Lebron and company knew how to throw a lob instead of shooting it everytime they touch it. Remember that pick and roll at around 3 minutes? I wish he would’ve went up and slapped the backboard at least since he didn’t get the pass from lebron.

#20, Exactly. Love was caught under the basket either early in the fourth or late in the third and just let the guy bank in a two footer…That don’t fly when AD is on the block, Coach K. Free AD!! Even Chandler’s dunks on alley oops aren’t as pretty as our AD’s!!!

#26, Damn straight. AD could have about three dunks if Williams, Lebron or Harden knew how to throw lobs! They are not used to passing though, of course.

I agree with #30. Maybe AD’s ready, maybe he’s not but it would have been nice if Coach K had seriously tried to find out during exhibition games. Nothing to lose putting him in for Chandler in the last couple of games.

Maybe I’m biased, but I do think he knows it would be just too good for UK recuiting.

Could just be me looking at it through my blue-colored glasses though. I own that.

Seriously, would you people stop 2nd guessing Coach K? The man is 55-1 as USA Coach. How do you 2nd guess that? We beat Spain by 22, and yet most of you are still clammoring for Anthony Davis, like we actually need him. Remember, this kid has never played in the NBA, he didn’t play in the 2010 World Championships, and he’s coming off a sprained ankle. The other guys have built-in equity with Team USA. Even Harden, Westbrook, Durant, Igoudala, Love all played for the 2010 team.

Seriously, how do you 2nd guess the all-time winningest college coach, a man with 4 national titles, a gold medal, and a 55-1 record as USA Coach?

BBN, I really want to know your logic behind this argument, other than you love AD and he’s a former UK player.

34- Simmer down, Mrs. K. Of course people want Davis to play more, what would you expect from Kentucky fans? He’s shown he can contribute- and if we’re up by 22 points, you’re darn right the kid should play.
Davis is a future Olympian in training; his experience now could be invaluable to future USA Olympic teams.

Coach K just doesn’t want Davis to succeed where his Duke boy, who was also one of the greatest college players ever, could not. The only way to ensure he doesn’t make Laettner look bad is to keep him glued to the pine.

I love the look on that guys face when he turns around. He has probably been tossing that little floater over defenders for years. Not this time, good sir.
