The New Orleans Pelicans announced this afternoon that they have waived Kentucky alum Darius Miller. Miller, who was a member of the 2012 National Championship team, played five games this season for the Pelicans, and started one of them. He was averaging 0.4 points and 0.2 rebounds in an average 8.6 minutes a game. Miller played a total of 102 games over the past three seasons for the Pelicans, and started 10 of those games, after being selected as the 46th overall draft pick in 2012.
Over his three seasons with the Pelicans, Miller averaged 3.1 points, and 1.3 rebounds over an average of 14.3 minutes per game. In addition to Miller being waived, Florida alum Patric Young, who signed as an undrafted free agent, was also released. Best of luck to you in whatever your future holds Darius!
