Crean says no one, namely Kentucky, has had to endure what his team has

Caption This!

After losing to Syracuse last night, Indiana head coach Tom Crean met with the media to discuss his team’s disappointing finish to the season. In true Crean fashion, he made his squad out to be martyrs, saying that no one, especially Kentucky and the other blue blood programs, has had to endure what they have this year:

“But the bottom line is that this program has come from so far and I hope at some point in time, the seniors, the guys on this team will remember that they did things that hadn’t been done first off in 20 years at Indiana but more importantly there are not any programs, whether this be Syracuse, Kentucky, Carolina, Duke, you name it that are the blue blood programs of the country that have had to endure what these guys have had to endure.

I’m sure that cutting down nets after a loss is a really tough thing to endure. What are some other things Indiana’s “endured” over these past few years?

Tom Crean’s creepy Twitter habits…

Making a ring for losing in the Sweet Sixteen…

Putting a buzzer beater on a popcorn box…

Wearing those candy cane pants…

Feel free to keep this up in the comments section.

Yeah and 1989 didn’t happen to UK? It was thought UK was going to get the death penalty at one point. No death penalty but still had penalties: 1990: limit to 3 scholarships
    1991: 3 scholarships
and no postseason play allowed for the two seasons.
Oh and pretty sure over the next 8 yrs we went on to win not 1, but 2 championships. Yeah, no one else has had to endure what they have.

As bad as Indiana has been in recent years, they were national runners up in 2002. That was 11 years ago, so I don’t know where Crean gets off saying his team has done things at IU that haven’t been done in 20 years. Last time I checked being national runner up was a much bigger accomplishment than making the sweet 16.

If you have to talk about any other teams beside your own & the team that knocked you out after a tourney loss, then you know you’re just an inferior wannabe. I hope his players tell him to stop making them look bad.

Sutton took the fall for us. Even gave up his dream job for us and begged the NCAA on our behalf. They didn’t give UK the death penalty but it was the same as if they did by the sanctions they put on UK. Dark times but you guys can look it up everything I wrote is the truth. Now there were those $50.00 hand shakes, (Kyle Macy attested to those) but I also remember Joe B. taking Jim Masters and another player back to Cliff Hagans Steak resturant to where they recieved a free meal and made them pay for it. This is a bit of s stretch, Ty. What he is saying is that this year’s seniors have been through more as a program than a given class has at one of the schools he mentioned. The reason is that when IU fell off the map, they went lower than anybody else.

He wasn’t saying that they had more adversity this season than UK.

His perspective could use a readjustment, though. Think about what Patterson, Miller, Liggins, and Harrellson went through. Not only were they on bad teams, but their coach was physically and verbally abusive.

Hey troll, you do realize that your team was the preseason #1 team and just got rolled out of the tournament like a 16 seed, right? Shoulda lost to Temple, but somehow lucked your way into the Sweet Sixteen where you got completely rolled. Karma is a bitch and it couldn’t have happened to better bunch of fans than IU Loosiers.

As disapointing as losing in the NIT was, Kentucky fans had no expectation of any meaningful post-season success, especially after losing Noel… and since we are the defending National Champs, we honestly looked at anything that happened this season as icing on the cake.

So be sure to stock up on that pseudo-post-impressionistic piece of cream colored crap artwork depicting IU’s last second miracle win over UK last year because that’s the only thing meaningful IU has accomplished the last five years.

They endured the fear and uncertainty when doctors couldn’t identify what was growing out of the middle of Zeller’s face.
