Couldn’t they have at least called them the “Chocolate Thunder”
According to KOCO 5 in Oklahoma City, the Seattle Supersonics will now be known as the Oklahoma City Thunder. I think this is a big swing and a miss. Besides the fact that this sounds like a WNBA team (all NBA teams should have mascots ending in “s”), I don’t think thunder automatically makes one think of Oklahoma. Maybe they should have gone with the Tornadoes or the Junior Sooners or even the Testicle Twisters.
