Coming to Nashville for UK/Western? Leave the purse at home

We are now fifteen days away from kickoff, which means those of you coming down to Nashville for UK/Western are starting to figure out your pre and postgame plans (tailgate or Broadway??). Over the next few weeks, we’ll have plenty of previews to get you ready to party in Music City, but first, here are some things you need to know about going to the game.

LP Field has recently changed its gameday policy to reflect the NFL’s new safety rules, which will be in effect on August 31st. The biggest change is that medium and large bags are no longer allowed. Yes, ladies, this means you will need to downsize the big purse to a smaller clutch, or invest in a skirt or shorts with pockets.

Here’s the release from the Titans:

The TEAM strongly encourage fans to not bring any type of bags, but outlined today what is permissible. Fans will be able to carry the following style and size bag, package, or container at stadium plaza areas, stadium gates, or when approaching queue lines of fans awaiting entry into the stadium:

– Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12” x 6” x 12.” (Official NFL team logo clear plastic tote bags are available through club merchandise outlets or at, or

– One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar).

– Small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand, with or without a handle or strap, may be carried into the stadium along with one of the clear bag options.

– An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at a gate designated for this purpose.

Prohibited items include, but are not limited to: purses larger than a clutch bag, coolers, briefcases, backpacks, fanny packs, cinch bags, luggage of any kind, seat cushions, computer bags and camera bags or any bag larger than the permissible size.

To find out more, check out the Titans’ site, which even includes a nifty little video of what’s allowed.

TT thanks for the info. Fortunately I just bought a Vera Bradley crossbody wallet to take on our vacation which starts with the WKU-UK game. Looking forward to your future posts about what is happening when. Also have those wonderful charts ready to take with us that you made about where to eat and enjoy the night life.

Can you post a list of good all-you-can-eat places near the stadium.

Best all you can eat near the stadium is Rodizio Grill. It’s a Brazilian steakhouse. Runs about 25 bucks for lunch and 35 bucks for dinner. If you want cheap all you can eat, the Shoney’s beside LP Field is your only option.

Most uahk fans are grossly obese, so maybe find a Subway or salad shop.
