  58. Paducah Patty
    10:25 am July 20, 2012 Permalink

From Hair Club for Men The key to achieving this natural effect is the Strand-by-Strand® process. A trained hair replacement professional closely examines the spiraling crown area of your scalp, adding real human hair one strand at a time to match the unique natural pattern of your original hair.

The strands are attached to a virtually-undetectable matrix of transparent fibers designed to match the balding and thinning areas of your scalp. This customized matrix is then integrated into your own hair for a seamless look. So no matter how close you get, no one will notice a thing.

Yes we lost a lot of tackles but at the same time we have a lot of young talent. Avery Williamson is good and will hol down the LB corp. Dupree will be a STUD and will assist AW. Our safties are Seniors and will contribute immensely. The D-Line is solid with Ukwu, Rumph, Cobble, and Wyndam starting. The only concern I have is our CB’s as they are young and inexperienced. Just like 121 said, next man up.

  186. MikeB
    12:25 pm July 20, 2012 Permalink

I don’t, but that is a secondary fact anyway. No one who truly has followed the culture of UK football could possibly lay it on the fanbase with a straight face. See how your facts measure up by doing this Stan. Combine the fans for both football and basketball and see which fanbase comes closest to “capacity” for both sports. vandy might be able to hang because they have smaller facilities. But measure who goes to watch a losing basketball program in the SEC and get back to me. That’s the measure of a fanbase. How many people go to watch a losing program year in and year out.

  187. Bevo
    12:51 pm July 20, 2012 Permalink

Stan you obviously have credibility or you wouldn’t be at the round table. While I agree with many of your points, I’m with Mike B. on this one. I think you should have more confidence than to have to tout your background/credentials–it comes off as condescending. I bet you never saw a game at Stahl Field, but I did. Accept that other people are just as qualified and entitled to their comments. Blaming the fans is an insult. I drove to Nashville, watched my rear end turn into a Popsicle while Morgan Newton got the ball and ran straight up the middle on every play. Newton needs to transition from his high school hero mentality of running the ball–especially when he only gets a yard or two per play. You may be credible to give your opinion, but it is just an opinion and other’s make points that are just as valid. Thicken up your skin, don’t take it so personal and realize that many of us have followed this program for double the years you have even been alive. Stop condescending to us. VERDICT: This round goes to Mike B.

Yes our fanbase continuously follows a traditionally losing program. We also complain when our new coach can’t turn a program around in 2 years, which is STUPID. Let the coach do his work, every coach deserves AT LEAST 4 years.

Yeah, blind loyalty. That has worked so well in the past. Hell, lets sign him up for a 6 year deal, we are used to it. I’m actually for giving him this year, but we have waited too long to be mediocre, we slip back into the dark ages and we might never see the light again. But I will take offense to anyone that wants to blame the fans I’ve seen at those games all of my life.

    Here’s one story:

On Sunday, December 9, 2007, at about 1 p.m. Matthew Murray, armed with a semi-automatic rifle and two pistols, entered the foyer of the New Life Church in Colorado Springs and fatally shot two and wounded three others before himself being shot and wounded by Jeanne Assam, a former sworn Colorado police officer and a church member acting as security. Murray then took his own life.

    The shooting victims
    1. Stephanie Works, age 18, killed
    2. Rachel Works, age 16, killed
    3. David Works, age 51, wounded
    4. Judy Purcell, age 40, wounded
    5. Larry Bourbonnais, age 59, wounded

At about 1 p.m. MST (20:00 UTC), 30 minutes after the 11 a.m. service had ended at New Life Church, Murray opened fire in the church parking lot shooting the Works family and Judy Purcell, 40. Murray then entered the building’s main foyer where he shot Larry Bourbonnais, 59, hitting him in the forearm. At this point, Assam opened fire on Murray with her personally owned concealed weapon. Police say that after suffering multiple hits from Assam’s gun, Murray fatally shot himself.

Assam later stated that “God guided me and protected me [and I] did not think for a minute to run away.” The pastor of the church stated that Assam shot Murray before he entered 50 feet (15 m) inside the building, after she encountered him in the hallway, and that Assam probably saved “over 100 lives.”

    Here’s another:

On January 16, 2002, 43-year-old Nigerian former student Peter Odighizuwa arrived on the Appalachian School of Law campus with a handgun. Odighizuwa first discussed his academic problems with professor Dale Rubin, where he reportedly told Rubin to pray for him. Odighizuwa returned to the school around 1:00 p.m. and proceeded to the offices of Dean Anthony Sutin and Professor Thomas Blackwell, where he opened fire with a .380 ACP semi-automatic handgun. According to a county coroner, powder burns indicated that both victims were shot at point blank range. Also killed was student Angela Dales. Three students were wounded.

When Odighizuwa left the building where the shooting took place, he was approached by two students with personal firearms and one unarmed student. There are two versions of the events that transpired at that moment, one by Tracy Bridges and one by Ted Besen.

According to Bridges: at the first sound of gunfire, he and fellow student Mikael Gross, unbeknownst to each other, ran to their vehicles to retrieve their personally-owned firearms placed in their glove compartments. Mikael Gross, a police officer from Grifton, North Carolina retrieved a 9 mm pistol and body armor. Bridges, a county sheriff’s deputy from Asheville, North Carolina retrieved his .357 Magnum pistol from beneath the driver’s seat of his Chevrolet Tahoe. Bridges and Gross approached Odighizuwa from different angles, with Bridges yelling at Odighizuwa to drop his gun. Odighizuwa then dropped his firearm and was subdued by several other unarmed students, including Ted Besen and Todd Ross.

According to Besen: Before Odighizuwa saw Bridges and Gross with their weapons, Odighizuwa set down his gun and raised his arms like he was mocking people. Besen, a former Marine and police officer in Wilmington, North Carolina, engaged in a physical confrontation with Odighizuwa, and knocked him to the ground. Bridges and Gross then arrived with their guns once Odighizuwa was tackled. Additional witnesses at the scene stated they did not see Bridges or Gross with their guns at the time Besen started subduing Odighizuwa. Once Odighizuwa was securely held down, Gross went back to his vehicle and retrieved handcuffs to detain Odighizuwa until police could arrive.

    Here’s another:

The incident began on the morning of October 1, 1997 when Luke Woodham fatally stabbed and bludgeoned his sleeping mother, Mary Woodham. At his trial, Woodham claimed that he could not remember killing his mother.

Woodham drove his mother’s car to Pearl High School. Wearing an orange jumpsuit and a trenchcoat, he made no attempt to hide his rifle. When he entered the school, he fatally shot Lydia Kaye Dew and Christina Menefee, his former girlfriend. Pearl High School assistant band director, Jeff Cannon, was standing five feet away from Dew when she was fatally shot. Woodham went on to wound seven others before leaving, intending to drive off campus and conduct another shooting at the nearby Pearl Junior High School. However, assistant principal Joel Myrick had retrieved a .45 pistol from the glove compartment of his truck and subdued Woodham inside his mother’s car. Then Myrick demanded “Why did you shoot my kids?” to which Woodham replied, “Life has wronged me, sir.”

@common sense–you apparently have no common sense or you wouldn’t resort to using a Typo to invalidate my point– then launch into my credibility. My analysis comes from real life experience. From the age of 6-11 I had the privilege of attending 2-3 games a year at STOLL Field with my dad–some of my best childhood memories and core bonding experience in our father-daughter relationship. By the time Commonwealth opened I was in middle school and our family was able to expand from 2 seats to four season tickets (which we still hold!!!-win or lose we are there) so we were then able to all go to every game as a family. Basketball was a different story– I was only able to go to a few games at Memorial(thanks to our neighbors Doug & Emmie Parrish) but Dad was a member of The Committee of 101 (or 101 Club as it was known to members) and when Rupp opened we were able to get season tickets there. However, my first event at Rupp was not a
basketball game–it was the “inaugural” concert: Hall & Oates opened for Sedaka–I even got to go to the private reception at the Phoenix Hotel. Soo…. I’ll be happy to compare my knowledge, credibility and experience with yours—which mainly seems to consist of listening to talk radio(Ref to Jeremy Jarmon)—oh snap!!! It just hit me—Common Sense—you Are Stan Norfleet!!! And still, I’ll compare my experience and comprehension of UK FB & BB with Stan’s. I concede — I did not play for 3 high schools in four years. My observations don’t come from sitting on Virginia’s bench dressed out but injured and/or red-shirted (should that be hyphenated? I’m sure you’ll correct me) and my interest in UK sports comes from a place of passion–not paycheck or career advancement. So, Common “Cents” please let Stan know that he has no need to condescend to to those of us are “just fans”. No one doubts Stan’s expertise or considers him a Poser. I think the correct term is RINGER– He “won” a contest on show on the network that already employs him, so I don’t think I have the “credibility” issue here.

But if Common “Cents” wants to nit-pick my TYPO (actually auto-spell corrector issues– I typed in Stoll and it inserted Stool lol, I deleted it and retyped Stoll and usually when I enter it the second time IPad accepts it– it didn’t– it inserted Stahl…I didn’t catch it… Mea Culpa already. I’m holding a seance tonight to inform Steve Jobs of this serious glitch) And being so smug and petty and condescending, I’m sure you, Common “Cents” would NEVER miss a typo in one of your sacred and erudite comments. I read your posts– and when you called them safties instead of SAFETIES and abbreviated Quarterback as CB instead of QB I didn’t feel the need to jump on and discount your entire analysis because you can’t spell. I was smart enough to discern your argument! You, however, felt the need to respond with a personal attack my credibility as a fan.

I’ve taken up enough of your time Common “Cents” — you probably need to get on out there and clear-cut a bunch of trees while you look for the forest. I’m sure this post will be quickly deleted as most are when you disagree with the “experts” on here. Fine…I copied it and have my finger on the paste button.
