When Obama is unemployed soon, they should hire him to run the Yum Center. Even he could not screw it up more than it already is. He could also solve the unemployment problem by hiring all available to fix the lights in Yum. Give me Rupp any day!

I hate to play Captain Hindsight, but you can’t expect to throw a bunch of random pro players against a team of international players and expect them to win at any point. The truth of the matter is that international players are getting just as good as American players. These international guys have been playing basketball for as long as the American players. Anybody who is upset that a team of 8 pro (or 5 pro + 3 almost pro) players, who had about 2 hours of practice, lost to a team of international players (who had a couple of pro players), is a fool. It should have been expected.
And if a Louisville fan says “WE” beat your ass, then that Loserville fan is routing for Coach John Calipari!

  61. Hestkuk
    11:17 am August 17, 2011 Permalink

According to Rivals Louisville signed 4 4-star players last year, all from Miami. STRONG effort by Hurtt.

Also dont know if Matt has brought it up, but there were texts between Hurtt and and Shapiro after signing day last year.

  62. FU of L
    11:17 am August 17, 2011 Permalink

Card fans are killing us on this whole “Kentucky Legends” thing and, for once, I gotta say I agree. No kid that plays one year for any school is a legend. Tayshaun and Bogans = legends. They did legendary things at UK, like being the fourth all-time leading scorer and the man who hit the 3 from the U – the fifth of 5 straight against UNC – and scored 41 in a tourney game, among a crap load of other game winners. I hate to say it, but I’m not mad at them for making fun of some of us calling them “UK Legends,” even though any legends they have these days couldn’t out-jump a fat man because they’re so old.

  63. Captain Hindsight
    11:18 am August 17, 2011 Permalink

Matt Jones talked down the international players and built up the fans hope. He should have understood that Coach Cal is the best coach in basketball.

    11:26 am August 17, 2011 Permalink

    63. Weren’t they called the Pros? And if a Louisville fan gives your shiut about our Legends who can still play, just ask them about theirs. We had one legend out there that had two National Championship rings from his time at UK. Put him vs the best UofSuck player with a ring on the floor and see who wins. The fact of the matter is the Legends of UK can’t compete RIGHT NOW as well as these former stars. We probably shouldn’t have nicknamed them the Legends, but hey, they’re better than Louisville players (including Garcia and Sosa).
