Wow, Gobert the Frenchman measured in at 9’7″ for his reach. Dude barely has to jump to dunk the ball.

These guys are not sub 5% body fat.. In fact, they’re probably 9-10%. 4% is an unsafe area which you can only be in for hours at a time. Awful measurement on their part.

#11, a safe fat % is 5 – 12% but these guys are athletes and it is very common and safe for athletes to be under 5% body fat.

6, I doubt they used a Very accurate measure for body fat. The gold standard is DEXA and I know they don’t use that. Underwater weighing and bod pod would also be too time consuming. They likely use a handheld BIA analyzer that uses impedence to determine body composition. BIA has a standard error of +\- 4%. If it was handheld and not quadrapolar as I assume (again due to time constraints) it really only measures body fat in the top half of the body accurately because the electrical current isn’t strong enough to pass effectively down the legs and back. This again accounts for that error. I’ve been measured using bod pod and quadrapolar BIA at 10.5%, but the handheld ones give me either an error or a reading of 5-6 % depending on when i ate last and if I’ve drank a lot of water. The 10.5% measurement is much more accurate. It unlikely they are at 4% and are likely closer to 8-9. Maintaining a body fat % below 7 for long periods of time is unhealthy. That’s why competitive body builders cut before competition (most of them compete at 5%ish).
