College GameDay is unofficially coming to Lexington this summer

ESPN’s College GameDay will be visiting one college campus this summer to tape a promo for the upcoming college basketball season. Instead of picking a location themselves, the crew has asked the fans to decide where the promo will be shot. The lucky school will be chosen by votes from the “Bring GameDay To Your Campus” contest.

Fans can vote daily and the voting ends May 2nd.

See you in Lexington.

I’m going with it is either rigged or there is a glitch because how does NC State have 370,000 votes and UNC have under 300?

KSR needs to post a copy of the leader board. Let readers know how far behind we are… we can catch up but we need everyone to vote to do it.

WTF? how long has this been going? No way it just started a day or 2 ago. 380,000 votes? come on.

I put my vote in but no way we catch that fellas.

Wait, Drew this link was for college football gameday, not basketball. No way ESPN is letting that happen. Plus, UK is a little bit behind: UK’s 376 votes to Texas A&M’s 378,256 votes. We’re right on their tail though.

Even if it is football only it doesn’t seem possible that Texas A&M would be blowing away the rest of the SEC by such a huge margin. I would think ‘Bama to be leading a football vote. Got to be fixed. But then again if it was fixed it seems that they would be wise to hide the actual vote numbers and give false percentages or something like that.

Drew, are you that disconnected with what your writing about or is this a ploy for football and you are doing it underhanded? I’m confused on what you are doing and that doubt makes this really fishy at this point.

NC State with over 1/2 million votes? They don’t have that many fans. Somebody figure out the script.

The fans would be known as the Comeback Cats if we pull this one off. We don’t even lead the conference let alone the total vote count. How in the heck can NC State have that many votes?!?!?!?! Has to have been going on for more than a couple of days.

  30. UK Rifle >>>> WVU Rifle
    8:44 pm April 23, 2012 Permalink

Right now NC State, and future SEC member TAMU are in a script war, but it may backfire on both of them when ESPN figures it out and voids both of them.

Keep this a clean fight so none of our votes get thrown out, BBN has real live fans, so our votes can sweep in the end.

For folks saying this is a football thing, you are correct, but UNC and Dook were early leaders so I say it is open season on the ACC!

Beating UNC, Dook, and Digger will be like christmas comes early!

The only chance UK has to win this is if Coach Cal and Ashley Judd tweet about it. UK is getting trounced. Looks like the only game day in Lexington this summer will be Drew sitting in a cardboard box outside Rupp Arena!

The site now says they’ve been overwhelmed with fan support and now they want to take a break “to ensure the integrity of the vote”. WTF does that mean??? They got crap-loads of UK folk voting and now they want to subtract a few??

Florida state at 1.2 million votes, and Middle Tenn with 700,000? Sounds fishy.
