5Dimes College Football Win Totals, Kentucky 3.5

webelieve

Throughout the week, the online Sportsbook known as 5Dimes, released their predicted win totals for every single team in college football.  Evidently, the wise guys in Vegas think Mark Stoops has his work cut out for him as they set Kentucky’s 2013 over/under at 3.5. In all honesty, that’s a pretty fair line as Kentucky will be in rebuilding mode and will be forced to take on the nation’s most difficult schedule. However, if Stoops and his staff have shown us anything in the short time they’ve been in charge, it’s to expect more.

UK will beat: WKU, Miami OH, Bama St., and upset someone in the SEC.

WKU has Petrino so they’ll be tough and Miami OH is a solid team from the MAC.

They may not win that many, but I have a feeling they’ll beat someone that no one expects them too. I got a feeling it will be Florida. We’ll see.

UK will win 3-4. That schedule is a beast! Id love to beat loserville but would really love to see the cards play THIS schedule. Florida took them lightly in the bowl game. Anybody with half a brain knows that. Lol UK is the toughest game on their schedule! What a joke their success is.

I think it’s important to put that the over is -160 and the under is +120, which means the oddsmakers are thinking were going over

Hey #6- The whole UK athletic program needs to get back under a rock. You fairys go 2-10 in FB, and you idiots are saying you will beat florida? You losers get owned by a cigarette company in the NIT, and you dummies are talkin 40-0? Get real.

“The Opening” is starting. The QBs worked out last night and Barker looks like he belongs. He is an athletic kid. The QBs had to throw different routes and distances continuously for six minutes, take a 10 minute rest, throw for six minutes, take a ten minute rest and throw for six minutes. That is a tough grind to stay sharp. The Chryst kid who has verbaled to Stanford is a beast with a gun. Snodgrass and Berrios ended up on the Field Generals. TV Williams is on Vapor Carbon. The QBs hadn’t been assigned yet.

    7) Florida didn’t take UL lightly, they just sucked towards the end of the season.
They wasn’t the same football team at all, they needed a BS block punt return
    to beat Louisiana at home.

10- UL can’t really say much about football their schedule is beyond a joke, it’s ridiculous you guys were even Eligible for a BCS game with that schedule and its even worse this year lmao

I’ll take the over. They’ll be better than most think. Int’s lost us the WKU game, turnovers lost us the Missouri game. Turn those around and we’re a 4 win team that played UGA, UL, and USC tough.

Very fair Over/Under. I see 2-5 wins within reason for this team. Its hard to imagine more than 5 wins. There are a lot of unknowns. I definitely feel like we are moving in the right direction though. Go Big Blue!

To #15, say what? You played Louisville tough last year? They pulled many of their starters before the 3rd Quarter was done. Or are you talking about this year? If you are, it’s at Commonwealth so that will help, but UofL returns nearly everyone and UK has major problems in their secondary. Teddy will have a field day on them.

Florida took it easy on louisville you say. Lol. Who in a title game would take it easy on anyone. True Louisville’s schedule is beyond cupcake and that includes uk but to take anything away from UL treating florida like a shower scene in a prison flick is plain dumb. If you think florida didn’t just get smashed in the face hard and long you are just dumb. Stop being such haters. Louisville is usually throughout the years better in football and UK is usually throughout the years better in basketball. That is how it is. Fact. Stop hating.

  30. Bobbum man

26- I do agree kind of, my argument is just their schedule and that there were teams that deserved BCS way more than anyone from the big east… But the Florida game you can’t really hate on them, whether or not Florida cared played hard or whatever UL did what they had to do its not their fault. But yea ur schedule is a joke and once teddy is gone or the hammer finally drops for recruiting violations you’ll be back to nothingness

    Shmowzow,

“Florida took it easy on louisville you say. Lol. Who in a title game would take it easy on anyone.”

I didn’t realize that the Sugar Bowl was a “title game”, brother. I can give Louisville credit for the victory over Florida. They were better prepared than the Gators, and they executed much better than Florida when it counted. That being said, I also realize that the Sugar Bowl did not truly represent the type of season each team had. Louisville lost at home to a bad UConn team; and got absolutely manhandled by Syracuse. They also had several narrow escapes against some bad teams (FIU, USM and USF). On the other hand, Florida defeated 3 teams that were in the Top Ten at the time the Gators beat them (LSU #4; South Carolina #7; and, FSU #10). In addition, they defeated an A&M team, on the road, that may have been the hottest in the country at the end of the year. And, they only lost to a Top 10 UGA team by 8 points after committing 6 TOs. Louisville didn’t even play a team in the Top 25 until it played Florida.

Congratulations on the victory over the Gators! On the night of January 3rd, the Cardinals were the better team. But, as Kentucky showed in 2007 when it defeated #1, and eventual National Champion LSU, anything can happen on a given Saturday!
