Gotta love the CBB community rallying around him… just a nice reminder that it is just a game despite all the trash talk, etc… Hope Nerlens is alright!

This just shows how much respect people have for the way Nerlens plays the game, and like everyone else I’m hoping it’s not too serious.

Hopefully he will be ok. Not really worried about our season. It is just ashame. He seems like a great young man. Speedy recovery.

Hate to keep seeing that pic of his knee/leg. Gruesome is right. Goes without saying, I hope it’s not as bad as it looked.

However, last time we had a center that couldn’t play (Kanter), we had one that stepped up incredibly well (Harrelson) and we survived. Hope we can have the same this year–WCS.

10.. I hate to not hate him so much, but the SECUNITED hashtag was a nice touch. It’s nice to see sincere well wishes from the world outside of BBN. I’m still holding out hope that he’ll be OK.

I take back any negative comments I made about Henderson. Nice gesture, as well as the one by Patric Young after the collision. He was the first one to Nerlens.

To good people. I really enjoyed watching Nerlens play. I really hope he can recover and play in the league. Hopefully WCS can step his game up and provide some inside presence b/c that stretch in the Ol Miss game when Nerlens was out was scarry.

Notice who is NOT on the list: VITALE and he was at the game…..if it happened to a Dukie he would have started a non-profit for him to pay his medical bills by now….

I am a diehard UofL fan, and rarely, if ever, root for UK. But last night was absolutely heartbreaking. My heart sank. By all accounts, Noel seems like a great kid. So best wishes to him. I’m sure we have some idiot fans, but I wanted you all to know we’re not all heartless morons. Get well soon Nerlens.

U of L fan Mark, that is the classiest thing ever posted by a U of L fan, and that is not a slap in the face. That is very classy of you and shows you truly love the game of college basketball. I would feel the same way if Siva or someone got hurt. I never root for U of L, but to see someone get hurt and ruin their career possibly, is heartwrenching.

Hopefully this will change the awful one and done rule…poor kid should be in the NBA where he would have at least been paid well, instead of making others money. Good luck, but this looks Shaun Livingston like and he was never the same, even harder for a big man.

I’m praying for a Noel recovery. Forget our season or the tournament or the NIT or whatever. There will be other seasons. I’m praying this young man can recover and live out his lifelong dream. It’s such a shame that his future is in so much doubt after working SO unbelievably hard.

On a side note, is there anyone out there skilled in the art of making these YouTube videos that can put together a montage of clips from Charges and/or Blocking Calls from last night’s game? It would be very interested to see. Not blaming the refs for the loss, but it seemed that on more than one occasion what was a charge for our players resulted in a foul in favor of Florida on identical plays on the other end of the court.

#17- was Vitale’s comments during the game not enough? He was very sympathetic and sent his best wishes Noel’s way. I don’t understand why fans love to hate on Dickie V. He’s a good guy who does a lot of good deeds for people in need.

when i seen him go down i started to cry, knowing that this kids dreams could be over, lets pray that there not, i could care less about the season at this point.. because this team without #3 will be awful.. we have no scorer.. our guards are awful.. goodwin and harrow there a joke.. harrow better transfer again he wont play a minute on next years team, hes the biggest wimp PG ive watch.. sal smith was better than harrow!! lol.. goodwin only plays ME basketball.. doesnt care about anyone but HIS.. alex will blossom next year, hes averaging close to what mashburn did hes freshman year.. he just needs to get stronger mentally and physically and grow some NUTS.. HE will be okay.. Big willie… well dude cant run up and down the floor 3 times without wanting to come out.. but he should be a good 4 year player in time.. kyle my god son GET quicker.. DO something.. hes got all the offensive talent in the world but slower than an little old lady. i really like Julius mays he has heart of a giant.. this team just has no drive no heart, besides mays.. and isnt aggressive at all… DO THEY REALIZE WHAT NAME IS ACROSS THERE CHEST!!!! I’ve taken my shots at BBN throughout the year, most of them probably inappropriate; but I say from my core that I hope the best for Nerlens Noel. That’s one of the saddest things I’ve ever seen. He went down doing what he’s done all year, hustling his heart out. He left it all on the court every time he went out there, and here’s hoping he can return to the game he clearly loves and works for ASAP. Basketball, rivalries, trash talk, all pale in comparison to the life, health, and future of a talented young man with a good head on his shoulders. Stay strong BBN, you won’t be hearing any trash talk from me any time soon. This is devastating for the sport as a whole. Get well soon, Nerlens.

Bottom line is all BBN should care about is Noel getting better ASAP! As far as the rest of these selfish Freshman who cares about them if they only had 10% of Nerlens heart they would be winners! 2013 season has now come down to rooting for anybody to win it al but UOFL or IU! How sad

#26, I couldn’t have put it better myself. Goodwin and Harrow make me want to kick my dog and punch my wife (neither things I would ever consider doing truth be told). Harrow is softer than twinkie filling and Goodwin needs to play in a league where its one on one. He can’t spell the word team. The 3 on

@#5 Steely Dan- You are a moron if you think ANYTHING Pat Forde writes is worth reading. I took a few minutes to see what kind of trash he spewed onto the page and I was right. He took the injury to Noel and turned it into a pedestal for himself to stand on and argue why he thinks kids should be able to go straight to the NBA and bypass college. Shame on you for buying into Forde’s pathetic attempt to cover this heartbreaking story.
Get better soon big #3…BBN loves you!

Great to see all of the posts for one of the “classiest” and hardworking athlete that the the BBN have every had. Hope the injury is not serious and Nerlens bounces back to make it to the NBA where he belongs.
Florida players, coaches, staff, and fans showed their class and concern for Noel.
Sportcasters, former players & future players at UK, and present SEC players (i.e. Marshall Henderson)…you all are the best and have my respect from now on.
Nerlens Noel has earned and deserve our respect!

Prayers big guy.Dude you are our everything. You mean the world to us.You play for the name on your chest and I think “some of the others should play the same way too”. In a perfect world I guess.I’ve been living on hope all year. And to watch you go down just chrushed me.I want to thankyou for all you did for us this year.Come back one more year Noel………….Now to some business. Is this gonna make or break our season?People need to get their head out of their ass!!!!!If I was coach I would have benched a few people, for sure.Put the KY. boys in,I bet they know alittle about the dream of playing for KENTUCKY.Even if they would’ve lost by 30 at least they would have shone some [email protected] heart!!!!!!Where’s this teams passion!!!Where’s their love for the game? Why aren’t you all getting better? To be honest it wouldn’t bother me if a few transfered.Yes I still believe, but how many times can you give someone a chance before you just let it go.There was no reason for Noel to have to run back and do a guards job!!!!Why does he do it,because he plays for his team and he made the grand sacrifice. His blood is on yalls hands.Yalls laziness may have caused him his dream.Millions? All for the name on his chest.BBN loves our team.I still think the world of you fellas. This is like the straw that broke the camels back. What yall gonna do now, come out and just give teams the games like some soft ass highschool kids.Grow up and play for the name on you chest.Or do us all a big favor and just tranfer.Everyone I know feels this way. It”s the truth. It’s not just a game to most of us.It ain’t to me,it’s a religion. We eat, live and breathe UK BASKETBALL around here. The name on the chest means everything.Prayers to you NOEL….Thanks Coach Cal for all your work.GO CATS!
