Kentucky Sports Radio

University of Kentucky Basketball, Football, and Recruiting news brought to you in the most ridiculous manner possible. “Poythress lets his game do the roaring”’s “Meet The Wildcats” newcomer series continues with another edition today, this one profiling small forward Alex Poythress.

Eric Lindsey of Cal’s official website writes, “Easily the most soft-spoken of Kentucky’s heralded freshman class, [Poythress] lives by a passage he recently discovered from author Mary Anne Radmacher that says, ‘Courage doesn’t always roar.’

Poythress’ social media followers have seen that saying plenty of times.

Lindsey also caught up with Alex’s twin sister, Alexis, who told stories of a younger, much skinner Alex, back when he couldn’t even dribble a basketball. She said she used to beat Alex at his own sport, a la Cheryl and Reggie Miller.

“He was really awkward and he couldn’t do anything,” she said.

Give it a read and watch the video interview with Alex here.

Franklin, I probably won’t read it because it isn’t a scratch-n-sniff, but I bet it’s a good book. Glad to see our guys learning in real college classes.

So two years in a row one of our freshmen has a twin sister. I wonder how many former players had a twin.
