Coach Cal to hit five states today

While you’re sitting around the office, eating Grippo’s and checking your six fantasy football leagues, John Calipari is racking up frequent flyer miles across the United States. Last night, Calipari challenged his Twitter followers to name the five states he’ll be visiting today, and after over 1,000 guesses, Cal finally revealed the stops on Day 2 of his recruiting tour.

He’ll be hitting Texas, California, Michigan, Indiana and Minnesota today for visits with potential future Wildcats. He was in Texas last night to visit Julius Randle, so I assume he spent the night in the state full of exes and he’ll takeoff from there.

Here are some names you can expect to see on today’s itinerary:

Texas — Andrew Harrison, No. 1 PG (2013); Aaron Harrison, No. 1 PG (2013); Julius Randle, No. 1 PF (2013); Emmanuel Mudiay, No. 2 PG (2014)
California — Aaron Gordon, No. 2 PF (2013); Marcus Lee, No. 2 C (2013)
Michigan — James Young, No. 2 SF (2013)
Indiana — Trey Lyles, No. 2 PF (2014); Jaquan Lyle, No. 3 PG (2014);
Minnesota — Tyus Jones, No. 1 PG (2014)

Calipari said it will be one of the craziest recruiting days he’s ever had.

Wheels up.

    BCG would force players come to him and would force them to jump a train to test their toughness while forcing them to smoke cigs the whole trip

    I’m surprised Both Andrew and Aaron Harrison are so good at the PG position they now are in a dead lock tie.

    Is that a picture of his wife going with him or did Antigua change his style over the summer???

    My guess this is a stock photo of Cal getting on a plane (definitely his wife). Anyone else thrown off when someone calls him “John”? I’m thinking…his name is Cal…no…wait.

    I haven’t seen anything about James young on the site in weeks, Matt acted like he was going to commit back in July

    And Mudiay is a stud! He’s a huge point guard who can do everything. Personally Id rather have him than Tyus jones but we’ll let Cal decide that. I hvent been very impressed with jones
