Coach Cal set for ESPNU roundtable

calipari-erin-andrews

Y0u love intimate roundtable discussions.  You know you love intimate roundtable discussions.  And that’s why you have to be off-the-charts pumped about ESPN’s announcement yesterday that John Calipari will appear on ESPNU Thursday as a part of the Worldwide Leader’s week-long series with Division I coaches.  Calipari will be joined in his segment by Notre Dame’s Mike Brey, St. Joe’s Phil Martelli, Rhode Island’s Jim Baron, Old Dominion’s Blaine Taylor and Florida State’s Leonard Hamilton.  Basically, he’s the big draw.

So what is an ESPNU Roundtable Discussion?  Here’s how they describe it

A number of topics are discussed in the series, including: pay-for-play, the NBA Draft, recruiting and the trend of mid-majors competing for the national title. The SEC, Big Ten, ACC and BIG EAST are all touched upon as leading conferences, and the lighter side of the sport comes through as coaches weighed-in on Blaine Taylor shaving off his famed mustache.

There’s no Lowell Galindo, but it sounds decent otherwise.

Look at the reflection behind Calipari’s left shoulder – is that Denny Crum? Can’t imagine he’d be caught dead in that hat but it looks like him.

Who is the woman? Does anyone know? And I agree 8 – It does kinda look like Denny Crumb…if he’d made an old 7-UP commercial, or maybe he’s Tatto’s boss.
