Coach Cal Is a Skal Man & Other Recruiting Updates

While we anxiously await the start of the 2013-2014 season Coach Cal is busy getting ready for the future by hitting the recruiting trail. AAU ball has already begun and Cal made his way up to watch some of the top rising seniors and juniors in the land at the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League. Coach got to see his son Brad play with the Kentucky Travelers today along side potential UK target Beetle Bolden. Kentucky started to show interest in the Covington Holmes 2015 pg following a strong showing in the sweet 16 last month.
Also squaring off was Tyus Jones and Rashad Vaughn. Aaron Flener breaks down the two guys a few posts down but their matchup was about as good as AAU gets. In addition to Cal, Pitino, Coach K, Roy Williams, and Tom Izzo were all in attendance to watch the elite match-up. Jones’ squad got the W in OT as he finished with 23 points and 10 assists. Rashad Vaughn was close behind with 21 points and 10 rebounds inĀ his team’s loss. I’d like to see what the two can do on the same team, with that team being Kentucky.
Cal got a chance to take in a little bit more of 2015 big man Skal Labissiere. A while back I profiled Skal’s incredible journey to the states and the 2015 big man still likes Kentucky. Cal told Skal he expects him to be like a player like Marcus Camby, Nerlens Noel and Anthony Davis. That’s some pretty excellent company to be in. L

Tyus Jones is so soft. He might be softer than ryan harrow…
Always wondered what the coaches talk when they see each other while visiting potential recruits…
erin calipari is a joke
Don’t know that they have made anyone softer than Harrow….with exception of Charmin man.
One person Mike, who is softer than anyone….You, of course. You are very weak. Man up Dude!
