Coach Cal at the Spalding Hoop Hall Classic today

There is a big name from Lexington, KY in the crowd at the Hoop Hall Classic today, and Coach Calipari is there too. Evan Daniels is at Springfield College in Springfield, MA and he spotted Coach Cal sitting baseline at Blake Arena for the final day of the classic. He was in town yesterday to watch Nerlens Noel score 22 points with eight rebounds and seven blocks against Mitch McGary. Today, he’s watching Tony Parker in the game going on right now, followed by Shabazz Muhammad at 1:00, and then Anthony Bennett vs. Jabari Parker’s Simeon High School at 3:00 pm. All three games are being televised on ESPN U.

Today’s pre-Arkansas press conference was pushed back to tonight so Calipari could fly to Massachusetts. Normally, we’d be upset that our routine is thrown off, but I think we’ll get over it since he’s with Shabazz and Bennett.

See you tonight, Coach.

    Parker didn’t look so hot.

Did Cal’s attendance affect Parker’s game? If so, what will 24,000 fans do to him? Maybe 5000 fans (on a good night) at ucla is a better fit. Plus, he IS NOT a 1 and done’r.

Did Cal get Shabazz’s high school team to wear Nike? What the hell was all that Adidas talk earlier this year?

    * joking about the Cal thing.

The more I watch these high school games makes me understand why Cal backed off players like Mitch McGary… That guy is supposed to the the Number 2 player in the country and he doesnt even start for his team and oly scored 4 pts… Do you guys still wish we couldve landed him? lol… In Cal I trust…
