As of right now NFL Draft Scout has Corey rated #19 out of 169 Defensive Tackles for the 2010 Draft but with a big year he could improve his stock for the next level. The Cats will need major contributions from Corey even more so with the unexpected loss of Jeremy Jarmon. Let hope that big number #91 is called for 1st team All-SEC at the end of the season and helps the Cats to their Fourth Straight Bowl.
Tomlin’s Take: Hi Cliff. How’re things? Nice to meet you. I’ll be critiquing your piece today, but just go on about your business. You won’t even know I’m here. Don’t mind me at all.
I have to say this up front: we here at KSR are always looking for new ways to do things, but I’ve yet to see anyone who decided to write a clever headline to herald each sentence of his piece. That’s redefining journalism as we know it, my friend. At first glance, I thought you were going to go with a clever “mix-tape” theme, then I realized that wasn’t it, and I thought “maybe he’s going for movie references,” but that wasn’t it either. Then I realized you were just coming up with interesting phrases for each and every thing you said. Believe it or not, that actually made me laugh — I’m not sure you were going for laughter, but it endeared your piece to me. It made it interesting, and it was definitely your own.
Even more interesting is that after your “quote festival,” you settled into a paragraph where you actually deliver a nice, tight profile of Peters. So after all those fun facts, there was a nice “but seriously, folks” coda. I liked it, Cliff. Well done. Quirky and factual, not unlike an encyclopedia adorned with Alf stickers.
