Doctors told Chuck Hayes yesterday that he is cleared to return to basketball. The head of cardiovascular medicine at the world renowed Cleveland Clinic ran extensive tests on Hayes and determined that the former Cat doesn’t have any heart issues and he’s good to go.
That was great news, but the news got even better today when Chuck rejoined the Sacramento Kings by signing a four-year deal. The best part of the deal? Chuck’s new contract is worth more than the one that was just voided. Hayes signed a $22.4 million deal this time around, $1.1 million more than the previous contract.
Chuck’s new team kicks off the season on Monday against Golden State.
It’s good to know he’s healthy and even better to see him make money off the failed physical.
