Chris Walker to Make His Decision in Early Morning

Chris Walker

2013 recruit Chris Walker announced tonight that he will give his college choice tomorrow morning at 8 am. The early Sunday morning announcement will come via video and Walker says the decision will be between Florida, Kansas, Kentucky and Louisville. From all current indicators, Walker does not have an offer from UK, even though he has desperately sought one for the past year. If that is still the case, the smart money is on Florida picking up the commitment.

I probably won’t be up at 8 am to hear the announcement but at some point when we all wake up, we will let you know what he decides. I expect it to be a Gator morning.

The manager of the most popular University of Kentucky sports blog can’t trouble himself to wake up at 8:00 AM to see the college decision of a top 10 prospect who has Kentucky in his final four? Despite the fact that he does not have an offer and you have written him off as a Florida lock, you can’t even wake up to provide the verdict of his decision to the thousands of people that rely on this site for their Kentucky news? Lazy. I respect your site and you, but come on, man, just set an alarm.

There MUST be something we all do not know about Chris. He is a top ten recruit, he wants an UK offer, yet no offer is given. Something just doesn’t add up. There HAS to be a reason Cal is not pursuing this talented kid. In Cal we trust.

Don’t write off Kentucky yet. After his announcement, he did tweetthat it would be nice to play with Noel. He also mentioned him. Even if (and most likely when) he doesn’t pick UK, it is still a big day for the BBN. One domino will fall, which we needed, and now maybe Cal will put the full-court press on Randle, the reason Walker hasn’t already committed to UK. Great day either way in my eyes

No one thinks the hasty decision from out of nowhere may indicate he finally got an offer?

We must be setting real pretty with Mr. Randle .

Guys, I think the answer is pretty obvious. We already have a stacked 2012 recruiting class and at this point we really don’t have room for Mr. Walker, no matter how talented he seems to be. I’m pretty sure I read a cbssports headline about it a few days ago.

No of what you guys are saying makes sense. What would it matter of he wanted to play with Noel? He’s a 2013, Noel will be a 1 and done this year. Gotta be some character issues or something, or maybe he did pick up an offer from us and kept it quiet. We will find out in the morning I suppose.

He isn’t coming to UK he never got an offer. I wouldn’t bother waking up, he will either pick KU or UF not UofL so don’t worry. @#1 I wouldn’t wake up either, why wake up for a recruit we didn’t even offer make his decision to go to college? @4 I don’t know what the hell you are talking about when a kid commits to another school that doesn’t help us at with a kid that doesn’t even have that school in his list which is the case with Randle and Walker. Walker still has attitude problems and Cal has been on a full court press for Randle even way before this.

I think we can all wait a few hours on “breaking” news of a “2013” recruit. It is Sunday, be grateful for anything before noon on the Lords day…

Maybe he’s planning on becoming the first player ever to announce he will be attending a school that didn’t offer whether that school likes it or not.

I’m always amused when a recruit “chooses ” a school over Kentucky when they don’t even have an offer. The chance to play for Kentucky has become so sought after that recruits are adding them to their list just to boost their recognition. The media plays along, reporting that the kid “chose” another school over Kentucky and that school’s fans act like they took the kid away because their school is so great. On a non-related note, I just chose to buy a Ford instead of a Bentley.

I’m sure Billy the kid is paying this kid. his handlers wanted some playola Cal, has no part in those type dealings either you come on your own accord or he doesn’t want you. Thats why Cal,turned downed Muhammad and a couple of other big time recruits. Also he is not that good anyway from what the scouts say.

Cal didn’t offer, but he picked UF over UK. Wow, guess every kid that goes somewhere else picked that school over UK. That is the only way the media, can get at Cal, I was thinking by his video that there is something major that Cal didn’t like about this kid not to offer. (grades, not a team player, handler $$$) Hope it bites Billy D in the Azz.
