Hey, did that guy leave his doors unlocked?
Remember all the grief that Steve Kragthorpe took for getting Willie Williams, known criminal, on his UL football team, only to have Williams quickly commit crime and get thrown off. Well, its look like Charlie Strong is going along with that recruiting theory as well.
Strong received a commitment today from 5-star safety Demar Dorsey out of Florida. Dorsey is in the Class of 2010 and is likely to break into the Cards starting lineup right away. Dorsey is also likely to break into your car at some point on UL’s campus. That’s because Dorsey has already been charged TWICE with felonies: robbery with a deadly weapon in 2008 (acquitted) and burglary in 2007 (dismissed).
Now normally, if somebody gets acquitted of something, I give them the benefit of the doubt. But are you seriously telling me a guy has been charged with robbery TWICE and both times the cops were wrong? Uh, I don’t think so. Nobody has that bad of luck unless you consistently put yourself in bad situations. On top of all that, Dorsey was slated to go to Michigan, but was declined admission even though he had been cleared by the NCAA. So basically, this guy is no Rhodes Scholar either.
Point being, UL has given us another reason to heckle them, especially if this guy does happen to get any interceptions against us. Frankly, he has stolen better.
Rich Rodriguez defending Dorsey after Michigan signed him. After which, Michigan unsigned him. You know, just for being at the wrong place at the wrong time ALOT. He really is a good boy though.
