Section 228, rows C and D, seats 1 to 9

If any of those seat numbers sound familiar to you, expect a phone call from the UK ticket office soon.

I would hope construction on four rows, 54 seats would not take very long. Most be a SLOW news day or everyone is sleeping in for draft coverage tonight.

A net loss in seating capacity of 18 seats.
A net delay in getting a new arena of 22 years…..this was the big renovation they wanted all along.

Well, this better remove the gay blue hairs and put them up top in a box. That way they can snooze in a boxed off room while students can make Rupp a scary place to play!

Anyone have an idea about what they’re actually doing?

Yeah, what the hell does this mean? “Enhance the availability of accessible seating”? I’m glad they’re not enhancing the availability of inaccessible seats… let’s put a special walkway to a closet where people can circle around a radio in the dark and listen to the game.

Does “accessible” mean “handicap accessible”? Or maybe they’re putting something between the long rows so you don’t have to squeeze by 20 people to get to the middle seat?

When is the next press release about a committee being formed to decide when the next press release will be released to the press?

10- besides manufacturing a reason to stave off building a new arena for another 10 years? Nope.

Does anyone have an actual argument as to why we need a new arena, other than Louisville has one? Why can’t we just do significant renovations to Rupp? And knowing that only 24,000 people can see a game and demand is much higher than that, many people don’t even get a chance to make it to games at all. How many people demanding a new arena never even see a live game and have no idea what type of environment Rupp or what it is like on gameday anyway?

I didn’t know that Rupp Arena had inaccessible seating. Also, how will it be enhanced? Does that mean that they are increasing the amount of “accessible” seats, whatever they mean by accessible.

I got a call from rupp arena yesterday and they informed me that I would be moved to sec 234
or 236 in the same row

#13 I agree. In the end it will be a major renovation to Rupp and I
‘ll be very happy. Anything other than that would be wasting $$.
