    25. & 27. You give up 100% of your paycheck to the government and then ONLY live on government programs (welfare, housing, foodstamps) since it is such a great idea. Let me keep 100% of mine and I will use no government programs and will even stay off the government roads. Let’s see who has a better quality of life. There’s obviously merit in some taxation, but Macon, most of the tax rate during Reagan was set up by Carter, just like the lower tax rate during Bush & Clinton was set up by Reagan. Were we more profitable as a country during higher taxes of Carter & Reagan or lower taxes of Bush 1 & Clinton? Both the individuals AND the government have more money during times of lower taxes because more wealth is created which creates MORE taxable income for the government.

Also, those tax rates are working real well right now, huh? Do you forget those tax rates have never expired. If you look at the numbers our economy was in a free fall before Obama even took office. Bush passed the stimulus. A lot of poeple forget that. Now Obama hasn’t done much to help, but you cannot blame it all on the guy, nor can you blame it all on Bush, Clinton, whoever. The calls for boycotting are just stupid and hateful, if anybody mentioned a boycott when a Republican was in the White House there would be much gnashing of teeth and accusations of treason.

This is beyond petty, you do not have to like, respect, or support the President to have basic respect for the office enough to appreciate what is a completely non-partisan honor.

I’m not enamored with the corporatist in the Oval Office nor the fake cowboy fascist that was the last resident, nor the corporate enabler that proceeded the nitwit, nor the blueblood out off touch fascist before that, or the dementia unit candidate that brought voodoo economics upon us, nor the deregulating guy that couldn’t manage his own party that came before the old man, nor the installed patsy before him, nor the paranoid crook we had before that so don’t whine my way.

Suck it up, they are all miserable in various ways and support to a man, funneling our resources into the hands of the wealthy few and propping up our failed and outdated systems.

Republicans and democrats r 2 wings of the same buzzard that devours ur life, liberty, and property. Republicans overwelmingly in the House just passed the CISPA internet cencorship bill, the NDAA which authorizes citizen roundups without trial or counsel, a bill making it illegal to protest near the President. The constitution guarantees my right to peacefully protest, but the republicrats don’t care about the constitution even though they swore to God to preserve, protect, and defend it. The CFR proudly declares their goal to end nation state sovereignty. They r building George H W Bush’s New World Order. The republicans and democrats r chock full of CFR members. A new world order would overrule the Bill of Rights and Constitution. If they r working to overturn our republican type of govt what would u call that? Oh yea, treason.

Income taxes don’t pay for roads jackass, it varies by state but it’s usually local and state taxes as well as property and sales taxes. FICA taxes pay for social security and medicare. Medicaid is paid by the states. Gas taxes also pay for roads.

I asked him why Obama seems to do so well off the cuff with townhalls and reporter press conferences and he said with a straight face that they feed him the answer thru his earpiece. I’m like “Whaaaattt you actually believe that?” and he says of course it is true. I attribute this to rightwing radio because some of the stuff said about Obama literally cannot come from people’s realistic observations but instead is somehow planted in their brains and watered day after day.
