Cats put two on ESPN preseason All-SEC team

The SEC bloggers over at ESPN took a break from talking about expansion to name their Preseason All-SEC Team. As with most of the preseason all-conference teams this year, Kentucky standouts Danny Trevathan and Larry Warford both made the cut. What is of more importance is Kentucky has the fewest members of teams who have multiple selections.

    Alabama: 6
    Georgia: 6
    South Carolina: 4
    Arkansas: 3
    Kentucky: 2

Kentucky not on that level yet, but with any luck will RISE up!
    Kaboom.

I wonder how many years we can say in one season that Kentucky had more pre-season
All SEC players that Florida, LSU, Auburn, Tenn, Miss St, Ole Miss, and Vandy.
WOW!!! Recruiting must be rising at
Kentucky or the SEC will be aweful this season…

Kentucky had the same number of players as Florida, LSU, Miss St, Auburn, and Vandy combined. TIFWIW

    Poco Chang,

Nope. Vandy, Florida and LSU each have one. It is significant to me that MSU and Auburn have none though.

What I like best about this: Combined we have twice as many names on that list as Florida and Tennessee combined (UF 1 UT 0).

Doesn’t really mean that much in the grand scheme of things, but is fun to think about on a Monday morning in early August a month before the season starts!
