According to Chad Simmons of Fox Sports, three-star defensive back Riyahd Jones has decided to flex in bathrooms outside the Commonwealth and has decommited from UK. The Georgia native, who visited Massachusetts (the school, not the state) over the weekend, picked the Cats over Vanderbilt, Maryland and Mississippi State in June and is ranked as the 45th-best corner in the class of 2011.

Matt, I’m not surprised that Cal was cursing at Jones. I was upset because Jones was in the zone, making plays and then Cal breaks him down. You could see that Terrence was shaken up from the yelling. and Jones didn’t do anything afterwards.
I think these players don’t respond well to the yelling. Cal needs to find a better way to motivate Jones
So he’s going to UMass instead? I didn’t even know they had a football team.

Motivate Jones….he tried that. 6th man. He was out of position and not wiling to crash boards. He yells at them all, and if they cant handle it go back to mommy. D1 basketball is not junior pro.

UMass is a freaking FCS program. How can a recruit decommit and look at going to an FCS program? This is beyond horrible.

11, all signs are pointing to grades being an issue. It is starting to look like he may not be able to qualify for most of the big schools. Thus his list is now likeUCF, UAB, UMass, and Georgia Southern. Why else you would go from being recruited by Kentucky, Mississippi State and the like and then going to a program like UMass or Georgia Southern.

Exactly 13, in order to qualify for UAB:::
A) Know how you spell your name in Cursive and Print.
B) Be able to tie and untie your shoes, (Velcro is a given)
C) Know and locate 2 states out of the 50….Alabama is included.
If we’d only spent a few million dollars on a recruiting room, he would have stayed!
If Jones wants to play at the nect level,he better learn to play at this “D-1” level first.He has to show up every night,he’s not in a position to take nights off .
5) Jones was not in the zone as it appeared….he may of scored a few buckets but it killed the ball movement and flow of the offense….Jones forced up a few bad shots (as always) and was out of position more than a few time on defense (becoming a pattern)…he earned his tongue lashing and should learn to get used to it….Cal didn’t take Terrence out of his game and Jones’ pouty ass took himself out of the game….if u can’t handle that you are a cry baby and will not make it in the NBA anyway
#16 So your saying that a QB coach like Sanders who has helped develop Peyton Manning, Tee Martin, Andre Woodson is at fault for Morgan Newton’s inability to throw an accurate pass, or not run the ball standing straigt up, or protect the ball while in the pocket, or throw the ball away after 5 seconds in the pocket, or be able to check down into better plays, or read through progressions??? Oh wait, you’re saying its Joker’s fault. Look some kids are overrated recruits, some kids kill it in high school but for whatever reason don’t progress in D-1. Newton isn’t the first at UK, and certainly there are hundreds of examples elsewhere. Newton’s struggles are 90% on Newton.
I told you all 2 weeks ago, after UK lost two recruits in the same weekend, that 3 more recruits are thinking about decomitting, believe me theres two more that will be announcing soon.
21) I agree with you. Jones needs to suck it up. Cal gets on his ass because Cal knows this guy has the potential to be the number 1 pick if he tries. He can dominate. So when he plays without interest, he’s going to get lit up by Cal. I don’t blame him. Cal knows how to handle players. Ask Cousins. Jones will be fine.

This is a flat program, a flat coach and the students see how flat we are. Yes we are in the SEC but nobody takes us serious. What a Joke football program.
