Despite flashes of brilliance at the quarterback position last year, sophomore Randall Cobb will be making his impact this year at wide receiver because one thing is very clear to Rich Brooks. They need him there. Last season, Cobb snagged 21 passes for 197 yard and two touchdowns, which ranked him in a tie for fourth in catches and yards and tied at the top for TD receptions. He was also the team’s second-leading rusher – all while splitting those duties along with playing under center and returning kicks. This season, there will be packages for Cobb to take some snaps but his role will be more defined.
