According to Nolan Schulman, Canadian prep basketball guru, three-star power forward Braeden Anderson will be visited by UK and UCLA this week. The 6’8″ former DePaul commitment also told Schulman that Cal (the school, not the coach) has been actively recruiting him and Georgia recently offered. No wonder he looks like he’s about to attack you for a sloppy, open-mouthed kiss. I’d be excited too. Anderson is also not a fan of what people are writing about him, played center field for the Orioles, hit 50 home runs in 1996 and already dated Ashley Judd.

Brady Anderson hit 50 home runs due to his absolute addiction to steroids. Plus his balls can fit easily into a smurf’s hands.
Cal building the bench with this addition. Long term guy, that could give quality minutes. Gonna have to get 1 or 2 of these types every year, so we don’t end up with lack of experience every year. Come on in and give us 10-15 minutes a game…
best part was 1st play, they passed up 3 or 4 threes to get the ball to the low post……and someone was in the low post.

Not a bad prospect, he could def come off the bench and give more quality minutes than Eloy. At least he takes it to the hoop, Vargas is not even doing that, so ya if Vargas got an offer, then this kid can get one too. If TJ goes, we are gonna need some bodies. If Tj doesn’t then our line up will look like this. PF – TJ, Davis, Wiltjer. Good depth with quality
Personally I think Vargas gets his scholarship yanked, there has been no improvement and we are 24 games in already. Think about it.
For a highlight clip, I only saw 3-4 things that looked impressive. He appears to play small for a 6’9″ dude. I don’t know Cal….might want to give him a preferred walk on…but I wouldn’t waste a scholly on him. However, we do need size!

We Cant Continue To Recruit All Potentially One And Done Players. If This Year Proves Anything , Its Almost As Important To Develop Your Bench As Your Starting 5.

This is the same stuff people said about Jordan Williams of Maryland and hes a stud now in college. You need players like this on a team. Some people just don’t get it though. Not surprising.
I’m amazed how people can tell he’s not good enough based on a 3 minute vid. Kid has good offers and I totally agree with 11 and 14, we need experience too. We shouldn’t and won’t go only after 5 stars.
He looks aggressive and doesn’t mind banging inside. He would be more than welcome.
Stacey Poole is gone!! Mark it down, He has barely seen floor time, he looks confused on the defensive end of the ball. I say he is gone and so is eloys scholarship. You cannot show zero improvement over 24 games.
That was the weakest “highlight” vid I’ve ever seen. I’m not sure he could ever take Vargas’ spot. 3-stars seems generous.
You have to think about how much better a player can be once they are on a college campus working everyday with college coaches. This kid is gonna be a steal for somebody.

Yeah, using a scholarship on someone who can contribute down the road is not a ‘waste’ of a scholarship. And for everyone saying Stacey Poole hasn’t improved, or won’t ever contribute, I would like to know when the coaching staff let you know that. Not seeing the floor doesn’t mean you aren’t getting any better, or that you cannot get better.
Take a look down the benches of teams in the top ten and all of them have 3, and even 2 star, recruits on them contributing as juniors and seniors.

This guy looks like something we need…a banger down low. He is not afraid to bang and could be a good project for the coaches. We need some big mean guys that can sub into the game bring some fouls and toughness. Plus he looks like a lot of your SEC guys that improve over time. I say get him.
