Well, that sucked.
In what may have been one of the worst performances in the Calipari era, the Cats fell to Notre Dame, 64-50. Kentucky failed to achieve any sort of rhythm on either side of the court and looked helpless against Notre Dame’s zone.
The only silver linings in the game were admirable performances by Julius Mays and Nerlens Noel, who attempted to mount a comeback with five minutes left. Mays finished with 16 points and played with more passion than the rest of the Cats combined, save Nerlens Noel, who put up 10 points and 7 rebounds.
