Cats land another offensive linemen

The Kentucky staff has made the offensive line a priority for the class of 2012 and their starting to reap the benefits of their hard push at those positions. The Cats landed a commitment from three-star offensive lineman Jon Toth from Indianapolis. Toth becomes the fourth offensive lineman in Kentucky’s 2012 group and the 13th commitment overall. The 6’5″ 290 pounder had offers from Ball State, Central and Western Michigan, Toledo and Bowling Green. He’s also received interest from Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Michigan State and Louisville.

Now enjoy a highlight video that should have been called Toth.0:

I hate being a little negative, because overall he looks good, but did anyone else see a couple of holds in there?

#2 are you kidding me!! Come on…….how in the heck can you tell if he is holding or not in that video. NO way, don’t you think the refs would have called it, at least they are on the field with him. Looks good and another GREAT land for the CATS!!!! Welcome to the BIG BLUE NATION Jon. GO CATS!!!!!!

I love the spin move when you add that he received “interest” from UL, Mich St, ND etc. Come on guys, I hope for the best but like someone else posted a while back, we are getting recruits away from ball st and western Michigan……come see me when we get a recruit and it says, received offers from ND, Mich St etc.

We have really cornered the market on getting Olineman without any other BCS offers.

Looks like some kid in the movie super 8 -but certainly not a standout we would drop our chins over from him signing.

    Just being honest.

I’m not big on UK football, mainly because…well, you know. But, this is a big kid that looks pretty good. He pulled on one play and looked pretty good doing it. He pancaked every little kid he blocked. And even defensively the tackle on the run play was impressive. 6’5 290 is nothing to sneeze at. 3-4 years from now and he might be a good get.

Mike Summers, who has been coaching the OLine for about 30 years in D1 football had the kid in camp and offered him. If that’s not good enough for you then , well, you’re just not real bright.

    5) Is 66 your IQ? That’s not how FB recruiting works.

Yep, we only have one of, if not the, best o lines in the sec, but our coaches know nothing about the position

For crying out loud, cut them some slack here and give the benefit if the doubt. Complain about a two star wr with a 4.7 time if you want…btw, who all did we beat out for trevathan, jarmon, and big Myron?

#11, WHAT?? We may have a more experienced OL squad in the SEC, but to call them one of the best?? I hope Summers can take a big kid with no feet, a tendency to get very high, and poor quickness, and make him into an SEC OL within 3 years. That is what I see on the “highlight” film. All due respect, he has size and can be coached out of bad habits. I can’t complain too much.
