Cats help prep for CATS

In continuing with the theme of the Kentucky basketball team being totally awesome, about a week ago a few of the players were invited by Jessie Clark Middle School to participate in a pep rally to get the school ready for their CATS testing this week.  That’s the Commonwealth Accountability Testing System for those of you that haven’t been in a middle school in a while (and since Billy Gillispie is no longer recruiting those kids, we see no need to be.)  So, on the Friday afternoon before dead week, Jorts, Mop, and Darius the Friendly Ghost made the trip down clays mill and helped pep up some middle schoolers.

Not only did they show up, but they participated in a pep rally skit (which shockingly did not include football players dressed as cheerleaders – perhaps the first pep rally to ever not do that,) threw beach balls around with the kids, and stayed after giving high fives to likely the entire student body.  All in all, it was another moment that goes to prove why we love this team so much, and seeing as how 75% of the returning line up for next year showed up, they might be a special one too.
