Cats Get Another Commitment….Sort Of

According to our man Aaaron Cordero, the Cats picked up a very nice piece to their 2012 recruiting class this evening in three-star cornerback Jadarius West.  Kind of.  West called Tee Martin to commit to the Cats, but he wasn’t able to reach the coach.  So, as soon as they touch base, the Cats will have another big commitment.  West, a 5’9″ Georgia native who runs a 4.48 40, picked Kentucky over South Carolina.  Yes, the one with Steve Spurrier.  He’s Kentucky’s 14th commitment for the 2012 class.

He’s good.

Jadarius West is a very good player, but at 5’9, i cant see him being an effective DB in the SEC. Very similar to Jerrell Priester. I’m guessing we’ll see a position change for West in the future, after a much needed redshirt. He will be a good SEC player in time though here at UK.

    3. I admit that 5’9″ isn’t huge… but what other position can the kid play if not DB?

8, DB’s typically arent very tall. Short and fast with hops. If not DB, Safety. But I think you forget, Cobb was only around 5’10 so he could play WR with his speed.

Jadarious was not a “TAKE” for South Carolina as they have a 4* Chaz Elder’s commitment coming next week. Nice article about nothing, TB.

Hahaaaah the the State Champion logo at the start of the video is my old high school and the highlights around the 1:15 mark he is doing work against my old high school. My old high school plays against Mr West and his school September 17 in the Georgia Dome. I might have to go see him play.
