As excitement for the return of college football starts to peak, so too does the excitement for another of sports’ great institutions…gambling. With that in mind, you might be interested in knowing that the real, not just offseason BS, lines are out for many of the season’s first week of games, with Kentucky’s opener against Western included. The Cats open up as a 19.5-point favorite over the Fighting Bryan the Interns, according to Vegas Insider. Kentucky put up 63 points on the Toppers last year en route to a 35-point win, so that spread shouldn’t be too much of an obstacle to cover against a Western team that has only won two games in the last two years. We certainly don’t advocate gambling on this site, but if we did, we’d probably tell you to bet on the Cats. You were going to anyway.
Only 76 hours and 15 minutes til the summer is over and another year of UK sports is here again. I can’t wait, but unfortunately I have to.
