Um, jump ball? h/t @thomasbeisner
Well, wow. That was close. Wichita State gave Louisville a run for their money, grabbing a few different double-digit leads, but just couldn’t get it done in the end. A quick whistle on a questionable tie-up gave Louisville the ball with 8 seconds left, basically punching the Cards’ ticket to the championship game. Cleanthony Early went for 24 and 10 in the loss, while Luke Hancock was the hero for UL, coming off the bench to chip in 20 points of his own.
Can the Cards hang their first banner since 1986? Unfortunately, we’re about to find out.
And yes, it really has been that long. No, really… I swear. We were still fighting the Cold War. It blows my mind too.
