Cancer Kid Update: Golf Scramble & Charity Auction with UK Items!

First off, a hearty thank you to all of you who donated some money for the Bowen family. I know that several KSR readers have donated, and the family appreciates your blessings and help. Thus far, the Bowens have raised nearly $6000 to help with their medical costs. This is an amazing result, given they’ve been only accepting donations for roughly 2 weeks.

I’d like to expand on some information on the charity event being organized by Hell in the Hall’s Frank and the other Cardinal bloggers. There will be the charity golf scramble on November 8th at Oxmoor Country Club in Louisville. After the scramble, the charity event will move to the Bluegrass Brewing Company. The BBC is donating 10% of its net proceeds to the benefit, which means you’ll be drinking for the best reason of all. Also, there will be a silent auction; most of the memorabilia will be Louisville related, but there will be a few items signed by the UK team and Coach Billy Gillispie.
