Monday night everything looked wonderful in Washington. Wall and Bradley Beal sped into Indy and made things look easy. The Pacers dropped another series opener and Hibbert was non-existent. The Wizards appeared like they would have little trouble dispatching the reeling Pacers. Now, flash forward 5 days and the series record mirrors the season. 2-1 Indy after back to back convincing wins. What is Wall to do?
With Brooklyn down 2-0 and the Wizards now trailing as well it looks like the former Cats’ days may be numbered in the playoffs. Last night the Wizards were held to a franchise low 63 points as they were done in by poor shooting. For the series John Wall is shooting just 12-40 for 30% with just 10 rebounds. He’s delivered 23 assists but needs to get things going in transition if the Wizards are going to come back in this series.
One advantage the Wizards do have has been the poor play of the Pacers. Indy won the last two games but it took 28 from Hibbert and horrid shooting to do so. If Washington can get back to basics and make the mid-range shots they hit in game one then they could get back in this series.
Do you think they have a shot or will the Pacer’s home court advantage give them the series in 7?
