Earlier today, the city of Louisville approved an additional $29,000 to go to lawyer J. Bruce Miller, who is heading up the efforts to bring an NBA team to the city. It’s an idea that irritates Rick Pitino. Coach Cal? He loves it. Calipari told reporters today that he thinks an NBA team would be great for both the city of Louisville and the state of Kentucky and, twice a year, he’d be happy to welcome LeBron into the “new building we’ll have in four years”. Nice. He also added that he doesn’t echo the sentiment of Pitino and that an NBA team will “never take dollars and never take seats away” from UK basketabll.
Plus, in four years, half the league will be his ex players anyway.
