Calipari Taking Part in Charity Coach’s Clinic

braydens-eyes

Where in the world is John Calipari today? New Jersey…Rutgers University to be exact. Calipari will join Bill Self, Mike Rice, Jeff Van Gundy, Larry Brown and Bob Hurley at the Inaugural “Coaches’ Clinic Full of Character” to raise support for the Brayden Carr Foundation. Here’s the schedule:

9:00 a.m. Bob Hurley (practice drills)
10:10 a.m. Bill Self (Kansas high/low offense)
11:20 a.m. John Calipari (Kentucky basketball)
12:30 p.m. Lunch
1:10 p.m. Jeff Van Gundy (pick and roll offense and defense)
2:20 p.m. Larry Brown (secondary break)
3:30 p.m. Mike Rice (warm up drills)

I love that Cal’s presentation is simply entitled “Kentucky basketball.” Not “dribble-drive,” just “Kentucky basketball.” I think that says it all.

UPDATE: Apparently Bill Self and Cal are engaging in some friendly banter at the clinic, according to Draft Express:

Awesome… Coach Cal is the man.

BTW Apparently “team sit down” struck in Cleveland when a 35 year old 25 year season ticket holder got booted for standing during 3rd downs

I figured Bell Self would be there to talk about how expedite the availability of scholarships from players who suffer gunshot wounds. Stay class, Bill.

    Mr. Schwump,

Go back in your hole and stay put. Do you EVER have anything remotely intelligent to say? The answer is a resounding NO.

Bill Self is so arrogant I guarantee he tries to run that out of bounds play on us…they might get the dunk, but we will stomp the $hit out of them in the Garden

10, educated in Kentusky: “sentance”: educated everywhere else: “sentence.”

    15) If there’s one thing fans of teams like Tennessee and Louisville know, it’s how to spell “sentence.” They see it all the time after the word “prison.”
