It looks like John Calipari will have one more title to add to his resume before heading down to the Peach Jam. The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced this morning that Cal has been elected to the Board of Directors, along with Cy Alexander (North Carolina A&T) and Rick Cooper (West Texas A&M).
The NABC was founded by legendary Kansas coach Forrest “Phog” Allen in 1927 and is located in Kansas City, Missouri. It’s comprised of nearly 5,000 college coaches from across the nation, who swear to be “Guardians of the Game” and promote the positive aspects of college basketball and the impact it can have on kids today. Other coaches who are on the Board of Directors include Bill Self, Bo Ryan, Mark Gottfried, and Jim Boeheim.
