Calipari and Jones after the game

John Calipari says on this extremely illegitimate-looking post-game press conference set-up “I didn’t want Marquis playing Hickey, because I didn’t want it to be a back-and-fourth. I just want this kid to keep running our team.” Calipari was extremely impressed and excited with the way Kentucky played today, saying “this team is going to be fun.” He gave his position away on the newly-enforced block/charge too. I think he wants more blocks.

The man of the night, Terrence Jones was modest in his post-game but said “When it came down to it we made plays through their physical play.” He said he came out and was “just playing.” Well Terrence, keep rolling off that side of the bed, eat the same breakfast, and put the same pant leg on first tomorrow. It’s working, keep doing it! Jones says his own point of emphasis during practice has been working on his free throws. Again, if that’s made your entire game evolve the way it did tonight, keep practicing those foul shots.

Looked like a championship caliber team today. If Jones continues to play even close to the level today and Darius keeps playing well I can’t imagine getting beat by another team this year.

    4. Agree with that and you know MKG will get back on track as well. My major worry is Vandy at their place…looks like festis is close to 100%…we have more talent but they have more experience.

Did you mean back-and-third or maybe back-and-fifth? Try back-and-forth next time.

Iowa State’s coach said on Sportscenter that they have the best fans in the country. It was cute.

    These are conference games.
    Have FUN now, and learn.
For tomorrow, after living long, we may die by a loss in the tourney.
So, eat, sleep and beat Murray State.

Derrick Rose’s brother is involved, I’m sure Calipari is involved buying recruits for UCONN. Suspend his last final 4 and put UK on probation!!!

Just got done watching Cats on DVR. We played great. LSU played dirty. White wasn’t the only one who was out to get Davis. He was deliberately tripped and clubbed across the face. Glad to see Jones found his onions again. On a side note, the LSU media room looks a lot like a garage

Did you notice when he spoke directly to Shabazz? “Do you want to play for that guy? If you don’t shoot it, I’m taking you out…”

Cal gets the best players, because he communicates to them the message they understand is what they need.

LSU coach said his team quite fighting in the second half. Thats all they did the whole game, maybe if they had played a little basketball they might have done better.

Coach says Teague is a great layup shooter? Had me fooled. Seems like he misses a bunny layup every game now. What’s up with that?

Welcome back TJ. If you need to flex or beat you chest to play that way then by all means do it! If that is what fires you up, do it. Last night was awesome. I feel so much better
