Calipari and Crean, telephone buddies

Matt Norlander of CBSSports.com fame spoke to Indiana head coach Tom Crean earlier today and Crean told him he had a long conversation with his good buddy John Calipari last night. Crean said he and Calipari spent an hour on the phone Tuesday night talking about the future of the UK/IU basketball rivalry.
Will the series end or it will it continue? We don’t know. But we do know Crean and Calipari are talking about it on their telephone devices. Maybe they’ll get something worked out.

For all you haters talking about Obama….
Oops…wrong thread..jk!!
Giddy Up.
Rotate the game between Louisville, Indianapolis, & Chicago. Adding Chicago would help both programs with recruiting.
Kentucky’s 2012-13 schedule: Duke and 39 other teams. Championship. Indiana doesn’t matter.

I thought Lexington was only an hour ahead of Indiana, now they’re 24 hours ahead!?! Crean is ahead of the pack.
I hope they can work something out. Clearly, they have different needs for their programs and they just don’t mesh together here. If it ends this year, it’ll be back soon I’m sure.
wasn’t it uk’s idea to switch it back to campus sites in 2006
Our Coach look sooo much cooler than their coach. Crean’s forhead resembles Mike Davis’.
4 year contract. @ Rupp, @ Bloomington (gives them 2 yrs to get security fixed), @ Louisville, and then @ Indy. Reassess after to see where successful.
Or Louisville, Indy, Rupp, IU. Gives them a better chance with their #1 team next year. Also gives them 4 yrs to learn not to rush courts.
No matter if it was UK’s idea to switch it to campus or not, the experience of UK fans
in Bloomington MUST be part of the decision-making on this.
Personally? I’d prefer we not even bother with IU. It’s not a fun rivalry,
and sadly it’s IU fans that make it that way.
Personally, I think we should support whatever position Calipari wants. If he thinks dropping IU is good for his team, so be it! He has earned a lot of clout in his short time in Kentucky. His opinion deserves some respect.
Crean apparently doesn’t understand business; why in the world would you want to keep this game small, make it as big as possible & all over TV. The money for both schools would be much bigger playing the game in a bigger arena then playing the game at Rupp or Assembly.
lol at thinking the reason calipari wants to go back to neutral as a result of fans mistreatment in bloomington. haha, get a clue.
Is it me, or does every coach look really uncomfortable when sitting next to Cal?
Why are we even talking about IU ,I much rather play butler more class, less ass—–holes to deal with
The most fan abuse that UK and Coach Cal has received since he has been at UK is the 2 times they went to IU. With friends like Creanjob, Cal does not need enemies. Let the series end. 5 of IU’s home wins last year where by a combined 9 pts. They finished 6th or 7th in the Big 10. They also won 2 road games all year.
I went to the game, was treated poorly, but who cares? Too many fans on here are being crybabies. Makes the whole fanbase weak and it’s embarassing. Our schedule is already going to be a joke, two top teams, then the weak SEC. No home games to get excited about. Yes, we need to keep the IU series. Looking ahead, they figure to be top 10 for the next 3 or 4 years, and the rivalry is back. Stop crying about the the big, bad fans that yelled at you and grow a pair.
