Cal to speak at the Clinton Global Initiative

Looks like former President Clinton really liked that Championship Ring. So much so that he invited John Calipari to speak at the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI), a three-day meeting of global leaders in New York City that begins this Sunday.

Cal will speak on Sunday in a session titled ““Turning Inspiration Into Action: Advancing the Individual,” along with Barbara Bush, co-founder and CEO of Global Health Corps, Charles Denson, president of Nike Inc., Allyson Felix, an Olympic gold medalist, and Jason McLennan, chief executive officer of International Living Future Institute.

As you can imagine, he’s pretty excited about it:

Something tells me he won’t use the line “pooping ice cream” in this speech.

But wouldn’t it be cool if he did use the “pooping ice cream” line?

Wow! This is big time…even for Cal. You won’t see Roy or Ricky Three Stacks at CGI any time soon.

Cal looks like Mr. Rogers with that sweater. More like a pimped out version, really. But hey, he wears it well.

Did they all just come from a pajama party? Also, they must have the A/C turned up high in the Craft Center. When has it been cold enough to wear a hoody and sweatpants since the National Championship game.

Clinton ugh What a bs talking sob. To see him get up & like always just straight up lie at the convention pure Clinton. If you believe anything Clinton says about anything, you’ve got as many problems as Billy G. I’m sure Ashley Judd will be there trying to look important.

It seems that giving the ring to Clinton might be a move to gain political support for selection of Cal by the USA Olympic Committee as the basketball coach upon Coach K’s retirement. That coaching position for Cal should be good toward recruiting for UK.

This is alright as long as Cal keeps keeps his distance from Slick Willy. Some of you seem to have forgotten how he was getting hummers in the Oval Office and finding unnatural uses for cigars. Makes Ricky P look like an amateur.

Did you ever stop to think where this world might be if Clinton put as much time into chasing terrorist as he did chasing tail?

@Caukfan. You forget who’s watch 911 happened on? I know you all cry and moan about Obama blaming Bush so time to practice what you preach. Even after that Bush didn’t “chase the terrorist” that was responsible for it. Took another Democratic president to get that done. You guys got nothing anymore but total bs and spin.

What an honor for me to see this Championship team pose with Clinton and Obama. And the 96 and 98 teams. UK wins Championships when we have Democratic presidents. And so does the country.

28 – Really? You blame 9-11 on Bush? Less than 8 months into his administration? 8 years of weak @$$ foreign policy from Billy Boy led to 9-11. TMFS.

The housing bubble bursting? Billy Boy (or at least his peeps in Washington) strong armed Fannie and Freddie into lowering their under-writing standards, which caused the local banks to do the same to compete. A few years later, pop goes the balloon.

Milton Friedman called Billy Boy “the best Republican President of our generation”, which was his way of saying that Bill’s economic policies were very much like Reagan’s (the best President of MY lifetime – economic growth and the beginning of the end of the cold war FTW, AND he appointed Greenspan, the man who was actually responsible for Clinton’s economy).
