Getting an award with the biggest cheater in ncaa history’s name on it? Not sure Cal should accept. In Cal’s speech he should give a shout out to sam gilbert, and see if anyone picks up on it – much less wants to talk about it. Let’s just hope Cal isn’t up for the k award, dean smith award, or huckleberry hound award.

The INAUGURAL Award! You know this is KILLING the haters ! There will probably be NCAA investigators undercover to see if Cal does something wrong while he’s there. Sure hope Forde, Bozich and all the other haters cover this.

Cal gets paid to recruit and win. He’s has earned his pay. So he has been rewarded well already. He doesn’t get payed to help with these charities and the tornado victims in west liberty in fact he pays to help them. Well deserved award. It’s good to see a public figure using his fame and money to help others in need. This award is more for the MAN and less about the COACH. The lord put Cal on this earth to coach UK.

#6 C’on man this sounds like sour grapes. Under Wooden UCLA kick our ass. It sucks but it’s the truth. We on our way to catching them hopefully. So give them their props and move on. All the comment about Wooden sound like a bitter UL fan at us.

#14 – Listen here, d!ck sneeze, when Wall, AD, and Noel start talking like bill walton about taking a pay cut when they get to the nba – get back to me. The media never says a bad word about wooden – yet most know how shady things really were in Westwood.

Isn’t it funny that uofl’s 2 championships were won by a disciple of wooden who sat on that bench for years.

Its always fun to see a Kentucky fan suggest other coaches are dirty. When anyone insinuates Capipari is sketchy most fans go into a blind rage, crap their pants and forget their name for 5 minutes.

Glad to see coach get some more positive recognition from the basketball establishment. Looks more and more like the next USA Olympic coach is getting the required pedigree. My favorite part is Cal’s more excited about a little time with JW.

    Glad for coach Cal.
I do find it ironic though that a man that presided over the biggest scam, and cover up, in NCAA history has an achievement award of any type named for him.
