Cal asked Joe B Hall how to play twin towers

WKYT 27 NEWSFIRST

Coach Cal told WKYT that he really likes what he’s seeing out of Willie Cauley-Stein and he’s trying to find a way to play him and Nerlens Noel together in the paint. Cal even went to Joe B. Hall to ask him how he managed to play two twin towers back in the day.

Two twin towers would be four towers.

Lets get Stein on the field at WR, I know Smith can hit him a few times ….

“Two twin towers” is redundant, and it unnecessarily repeats.

7–why so? he obviously is going to play 4 towers in the middle. no redundancy there

Hmmm… Bowie was a good passer and Mel could hit a 15-foot jumper. Not sure what skills NN and WCS bring to the table. Haven’t heard of either of them having a low-post game or a jumper. Would sure make life difficult for opponents on the defensive end though!

    Starting Lineup.

    PG – Harrow
    PF – Wiltjer
    PF – Clanton
    C – Cauley-Stein
    C – Noel

Not sure if that qualifies as four towers, but that’s as close as we can get I suppose….

and Joe Hall replied “Dag gum it Cal. It ain’t that difficult as long as your boys are bigger than their boys.”

Hall played stall ball so remind him there’s a shot clock when asking for advice. Enjoy Joe B now but dang the style he coached and has his team play at times, I couldn’t stand.
