University of Kentucky Basketball, Football, and Recruiting news brought to you in the most ridiculous manner possible.

Bye Bye Rekalin

In the news that surprised no one department, Rekalin Sims said adios muchachos to the Kentucky basketball program. He leaves behind a legacy of mediocrity that reminded most UK fans of the storied Nate Knight era. Rekalin came in with a vacant power forward position, him a JUCO all American, ready to take over and plant his seed on the Kentucky program. He left fourth string, behind Bobby Perry, Sheray Thomas and Woo’s second cousin Pavlov. Sims will likely be heading to the West Coast, where he will surely continue his tradition of launching three pointers and not boxing out, for another, less storied program. When asked about what this loss means, most UK fans said, “Now who was he again?”

Interestingly, the NFL Draft ended with no Kentucky players picked in any of the seven rounds. That left the Wildcats behind such storied programs as Cornell, Montana St and Abilene Christian. I am sure this will change in the future (actually I am not sure, but that is what everyone says), but for now, that is fairly depressing.

And day 2 of marathon training was a success. Two mile run that made me a little tired, but not out of it. My march towards Kenyan citizenship continues….
